This comment made me so happy! I am 19+5 with twins and have put on just over a stone, all bump. I have never been dainty, pre pg was a 14/16. I was at the school collecting my step sons and one of the teachers I was talking to (who has had twins herself) said oh for how far you are you still look dainty. I LOVE HER! After finding this heat hard at times she really did put a smile back on my face Smile Thank you Mrs Baker!

Not sure why, but just thought I would share my the lovely comment I received (after mainly god your gonna be huge type comments!)

It is lovely when people tell you how nice you look. I'm 26+4 and whilst I have had comments about how huge my stomach is considering how long I have to go, I have had a couple of nice comments (and I don't care if they're just saying it for the sake of it!)

AnythingNotEverything · 10/07/2013 09:38

As how lovely. My mum told me on Monday that my bump wobbles when I walk.

I want to swap bumps please. And maybe mothers. Anyone got one they would trade?

SourSweets · 10/07/2013 09:51

Dainty is a lovely word! I'm going to work that into my b

SourSweets · 10/07/2013 09:53

...into my vocabulary more often! It's great to get a nice comment. I have had so many about how "massive" I am (well yes, I do have a fully formed baby in me) that I almost dread going out now. And I'm actually measuring right on track. Thank goodness for all the Mrs Bakers out there!

Franykins · 10/07/2013 11:41

It defiantly makes a nice change from most comments. I love my bump, and yes it might be big for how far I am but I just remind people I'm growing two babies and all weight gain so far has been on my bump Smile although DP did have fun making my bum wobble the other day by smacking it, constantly, but my bum has always wobbled (thank god for primark spanx leggings pre pg haha)

I wouldn't swap mothers with you AnythingNotEverything mine is just as kind as yours with the comments!

Nice to get a positive comment! On the whole I am wishing I could ban anyone from any passing comment...

My (male) boss is the worst offender. Today he outdid himself with: 'This one looks like she has been on the wine and cheese'.

What? What am I even supposed to do with that comment? What is he trying to say? I drink heavily and eat dodgy cheese? I really don't! Generally work people are terrible for saying how massive I am. Seeing as I am normally a size 18 and am now growing a whole new human I feel like shouting 'no shiz!' at this point.

There was a good article in the Stylist magazine on this yesterday 'Bump Watchers' which summed it all up for me.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Oh Rollermum! What is it with men! Mind you women should understand but some pass rude comments as well I guess. My friends Gran said to me 'Oh aren't you big already, mind you, you were big before weren't you' I was like erm ok! Right so I wasn't a size 8 but 14/16 isn't too bad is it! Pfft. It doesn't help that my bump is the same size as said friend and she is due to give birth next week - but she was a lot smaller than me to begin with, and is having one small baby (been told to expect a 5lber at full term) So yes we are the same bump size.

To be honest atm I just brush it all off as I love my bump hehe, but if this heat keeps up and my hormones get worse then maybe I won't be brushing them off so easily!

My MIL came over and its only the 2nd time I've seen her whilst being pregnant and it started really well with her saying "Ooh you have a lovely little bump" to which FIL said "Well she will be, she's really early and has loads of time left"

I'm 21+3, and well aware I will get bigger but didn't need it pointing out! :(

Rollermum · 10/07/2013 12:23

Thanks Franykins! I have been sitting fuming at my desk and unable to concentrate. I could go Hulk on the next person to say how massive I am. How lovely of your friend's Gran!

Feelslike - Ah, in laws - always a pleasure!
