9 weeks pregnant and worried!!!

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and have got a scan on the 25th of July I've took 6 different positive test but a lady told me that I can have 6 false positive and that maybe when I go for my scan nothing will show, I have got loads of symptoms sniffly nose cramps in belly nausea sore boobs, I just need reassuring can someone help please

You actually can't get a false positive, let alone six, so this lady is talking crap. Congratulations and I hope all goes well.

PS this lady doesn't sound very nice or very supportive!

I agree you can't get a false positive because the pregnancy hormones are the only thing that can turn the test positive. So you can ignore her!

I know what you mean though - I was paranoid the first 12 weeks even though I had lots of symptoms that I would go to the scan and they would say there was no baby. I think lots of people feel this way.

However, I'm pleased to say I went for the scan and everything was fine and I'm sure you will be too

I'm 20 weeks today so got my second scan tomorrow and although I'm nervous I don't feel as bad as I did before my 12 week scan because my bump has grown and I can feel baby moving/kicking . It makes it seem more real when you've had the first scan and then you start growing/feeling movements.

A positive test means that you are pregnant, full stop. That lady doesn't know what she is talking about, so don't give credence to anything that she says.

It's natural to be nervous about the scan, but after six tests you most definitely have a baby in there!

Haha i took 8 tests and im only 6+3!! I still dont believe it after 3 years of trying and i too am soo scared about my first scan on the 26th! Wish me luck ill keep you in my prayers :) x

You know it's a pain isn't it i been trying for nearly 2 years but I can't believe it lol x

I think everyone feels a bit like that, I was 18wks at my fist scan (abroad)and had felt the bb move but still I had a niggling feeling i was imagining things!

(don't think I'd stay in touch with this lady, next thing she will be there with the scary birth stories)

Ooh my scan is day after yours :) best of luck you are preg if youve done that many and no period! I did 8 tests before i believed it! X
