yes its fine to eat

izzybizzybuzzybees · 07/07/2013 19:26

Of course it's ok. It's only homemade mayo that should be avoided! All bought stuff will be fine. Enjoy!

Awakeagain · 07/07/2013 19:27

Think just home made mayo is a no no as made with raw egg

NarkyNamechanger · 07/07/2013 19:27

Yes of course!

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/07/2013 19:29

Yes - it's fine. It's only homemade that's a problem. Although, know I'm pregnant with DC2, I know think a lot if the "guidance" we are given over here is bollocks. France and Italy, particularly would have birth rates of about 2 babies a year based on eating all the band foods that we're not meant to eat in the UK

My Italian friend genuinely thought the midwife was taking the piss at her first appointment

Thanx everyone, just wanted to double check :) xx

There's so much misinformation around this sort of thing. I'm pregnant with my first. Today I went out for lunch with a friend who has a 1 yr old who was going on about how much she missed prawns and mozzarella (not together) when she was pregnant. She wouldn't believe me that NHS advice is that both are fine to eat cos 'her book' said otherwise.

Easy enough to check things out yourself you aren't sure of.
