Transverse baby at 36 weeks.

I have just had a scan and a consultant appointment and the baby has turned from being head down to a transverse position.

They are giving baby a week to turn and if he/she doesn't I am being admitted to hospital so they are able to try to turn the baby/perform a c-section.

Has anyone else had this?

What are the chances of the baby turning in a week?

I haven't used it myself, but lots of people recommend the Spinning Babies website.

Find a specialist chiropractor to turn it. Much nicer than at the hospital.

At hospital they will monitor during and after turning procedure, it can be a risky thing for some babies and some go on to be needing delivered asap if heartrate goes down, - you wouldn't get that at a chiropractor, it's adding to the risks already there.

The chIropractor doesn't actually turn it. It's very gentle manipulation of your back and pelvis which create space for the baby to turn in to. They won't need to touch th baby at all.

Where a bouts are you Jane?

MrsFrederickWentworth · 05/07/2013 18:52

Yes.

Never have my stairs been so clean as in those days you were recommended to kneel and eg brush the stairs.

So I did so. And the baby turned head down. And two hours later, every f time, he turned himself back again.

Wish I had had your option and sensible gynae. But it all turned out well in the end. So don't worry.
