35 weeks and confused... night time cramps, diarrhoea & feel sick

Hi,

I'm feeling very confused!! I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my second baby and last night I had a terrible night with period like cramps on and off for three to four hours. I was crouching down in pain, resorted to hot water bottle and really thought something was happening....

This morning I feel much better (if tired ;-) although I do have a bit of diarrhoea, and feel generally sick and queasy.

Assuming it's all my body just preparing for labour but didn't have anything like this first time round. Any thoughts / similar experiences?

The cramps that came on last night were after a particular active spell by the baby moving around, and wonder if maybe that was somehow linked...

Thanks, that's really helpful. I thought that might be what it is... Felt so sore, and uncomfortable though was a bit worried that I might be going into early labour too! Not sleeping is the worst! Good luck to you too x

arrgh, the stomach pains / cramps are back (boo). It's not really a tightening but does feel really uncomfortable, and like bad period pain / cramps... Assume it's just my body stretching to try and make room for baby?! but it sure does hurt!!

I could literally have written your post, i am the exact same and for the past few nights have been convinced I would go into labour but nothing has come of it. Im also not sure if im having braxton hicks at times or the baby is just moving in an uncomfy position!

Thanks both! I ended up speaking to my labour ward earlier as it was getting so uncomfortable! They said probably nothing to worry about, and just to monitor to see how it goes. Taken some paracetamol and or a hot water bottle on the go and that helping.

Clouise hope you have a better night x
