Hi, we're having our gender scan in Canterbury on Saturday at the My Ultrababy clinic. I can't comment on how good they are yet, but there's lots of choice regarding packages. We paid £80 for a 2D gender scan (they won't do it any earlier than 17 weeks) and I think we get a photo and keyring and a sneak peak of 3D/4D. 3D isn't really recommended prior to 30 weeks as baby is still very skeletal looking until then. Good luck!

Thankyou Embaker, me being silly thought it was from 16 weeks that they could do the gender scanGrin, 17 weeks seems so far away. I will have a look into booking a scan where you have booked yours x

The MW I saw at the EPU (not in Canterbury) said she'd been to one near Kings School when her DD was pregnant and they were great. No idea what they're called.

But yes, I've never heard of anywhere doing 3D/4D scans before about 28 weeks.

Sorry to be a pain embaker, how long after deposit did they confirm your appointment? Paid the £30 but haven't had the email over an hour later, and have forgotten whether i agreed to saturday or the sunday via telephone. Tia x

I live overseas where the scanners are capable of doing 4d at the flick of a switch. I've had 4 d scans since I found outi was pregnant.

They were as you might expect a bit odd looking early on but I'd say from week 16 or so you could see the shape of the baby.

At 20 weeks we could see its face etc.
So I think it is possible to have them from earlier on.

Gosh I can't remember... I think it was within the same day or the day after. I think they phoned aswell. (Apologies, terrible memory at the mo!). Don't worry I'm sure they'll get back to you. If not, give them a call to check!

Thankyou, got the confirmation through in the endSmile, only 4 & a bit weeks to go-counting down the days. Goodluck for today Smile

Pumpkin.. We had a wonderful experience at My Ultrababy! The staff were so friendly and we found out we're having a girl! You'll love it. Just don't go with a completely full bladder like I did! Good luck

We did but it must have only been for about 2-3 minutes! Wasn't a great view, but it's free so go for it :)
