Lack of pregnancy symtoms - v worried!

I am about 6 weeks pregnant and am worried by my lack of symptoms. I did have some symptoms for about a week when I had just got my positive pregnancy test (so would have been about 3 weeks). My symptoms were - sensitive, tingly boobs (but not really painful, just felt tingly and heavy) and I felt tired and nauseous (although not too terrible).

Then after about a week all these symptoms went. My boobs do not feel sensitive or tingly at all anymore, I don't feel overly tired (no more than normal with an active toddler) and I don't really feel sick anymore.

I'm just really concerned that this MUST mean that something has happened to the baby. I really can't help but worry.

Is it possible for symptoms to diminish but pregnancy to still be ok?

Thanks for reading and hopefully replying!

Just wanted to bump!

Hope lack of replies is not because everyone thinks it probably isn't a good sign!
Hope no one minds the bump!

Don't worry. I was 17 weeks before I found out. No symptoms at all until my waistline expanded! I had irregular periods, so thought nothing of it. DS is now 17 months :)

Thanks Moose. I appreciate you replying. It must have been quite a (lovely) shock at 17 weeks.

I think what I'm mostly worried about it that I did have some (albeit not terrible) symptoms but that now they have gone. Like something has changed iyswim.

Maybe it is possible for them to go as your body adjusts to the hormones?!

Don't worry! I'm 14 weeks and my symptoms have been coming and going the entire time (and 2 scans have confirmed that bean is absolutely fine). I did notice some other weird ones in between - hyperactive sense of smell, bleeding gums, dizzy etc. I think it's a good thing if you don't have many symptoms, it makes it easier to deal with.

Thanks Aetae. It's silly isn't it? I bet loads of people would be really happy to have my lack of symptoms. It's just I've read loads of sad stories about disappearing symtoms. Yes, Google is a dangerous place. Will be happy when I see the LO on the scan!

You're not alone in those worries though. If you drop in to any of the antenatal threads on here while they're still in the first trimester it's a very common concern! Are you able to have an early private scan, that helped it all become a bitter real for me.

I was the exact same, I found out at 5 weeks, really really sore breasts and my jeans button popped off (bloaty)! I refused to admit I was just plain getting fat so I turned to husband and said I must be pregnant...and I am Grin! At around 6-7 weeks though everything stopped, I wasn't as tired, wasn't as nauseous, breasts stopped hurting. I got so worried I was dreading the 12 week scan but also wishing it wasn't so far away, in the end I had done 10 home tests!! But don't worry all those pesky symptoms soon came back at around 13 weeks! Everybody is different...I've not thrown up once (although felt like I would a million times!!) so I must be quite lucky. The best advice i was given was to take each day as they come and enjoy the ones where you feel good incase tomorrow you feel crap Grin x

Hello - my first post on mumsnet was on thus subject (she's 19 months now!). I even paid for an private early scan!

I agree with everyone else I am sure everything is fine it just every pregnancy is different. I'm in the same boat as you just find out last week that I'm pregnant this will be my 5 time!! Unfortunately I've had 2 miscarriages in the last 12 months and they have been at 13 weeks so I'm concerned about everything. However I do have two beautiful children. I don't normally get any of the sickness just normally feel tired and hungry! But this time around I don't seem to be tired just the opposite and I'm not getting the "need food now" feeling. In fact if I hadn't missed my period and the test hadn't showed Positive I wouldn't believe I'm pregnant. If you are concerned when you have your first midwife appointment ask if they can book you into the EPU for a scan it will just put your mind at rest and try not to worry I'm sure it will be ok.

Unfortunately my doctors appointment is 2 weeks away and i think it will be another week after that before I see the midwife but I will be requesting early scan. Like I said please relax and just enjoy your pregnancy.
