Hyperemesis and showers

Hello, first time poster here, wish it were under happier circumstances but I am having a hell of a time with hyperemesis :-(
I'm 15+3 at the mo, have had HG since week 4 and been trying to get used to and work around it, but one thing I am super fed up with is that without fail, no matter time of day, water temp, or how long I take, EVERY single time I have a shower I have to puke. Sometimes I can't even finish my shower, it does not leave me feeling at all clean or refreshed.
Baths are out of the question as I can't get in or out without help.
Any suggestions for making showers bearable or other ideas for staying clean when feeling very poorly and exhausted?
Thanks!

Sympathies. I know it's horrible. I used to throw up every time I cleaned my teeth. Could you do an old fashioned wash with a sponge at the sink (1950's boarding school stylee)? Might be worth asking the ladies on this thread too.

hi. ive had hyperemesis with both my pregnancy :( and I know how bad it can be. showers were also a problem for me, I still cant use certain brands of shampoo as it makes me gag!?!? but I can suggest wet wipes for washes. I got to the stage where all I could manage was lying on the bed and using them morning and evening. and keep spare in the bathroom if u feel like freshening up. the other thing that did help was suck mints in the shower. the extra swallowing seemed to help. I lived off polo's for ages. xxx
