I'm not a frequent spa visitor and don't want to have to top it up too far.

Spa isn't a cheap one. I'm thinking eyebrow shape and eyelash tint or pedicure or facial? Hair do is sorted so that's not needed.

What would you have done to help lift a very fed up, large pregnant lady with very sore spd.

I would defo go for eyebrows, as dd was about 5 months old before I even looked in the mirror - then I realised they had run amok.

Eyebrow shape & eyelash tint.
Or pedicure as it is sandal weather

I'm 39 weeks and had a pedicure last week, which was a lovely treat - now I have nice summer toes and the massage was tres relaxing. However, eye brows and eye lash tint sound v.practical - you'll look groomed in the first baby pics and won't have any black streaks down your face. Hmm, maybe I need to book an eye lash tint! Grin Enjoy, whatever you choose :)

Thank you ladies. I've never had my eyebrows done professionally, do I need to grow them out before I go? Was thinking of getting it done later part of next week when ill be 38+ weeks in the hope that it will last a while.

I can actually still reach my feet Grin its not the easiest of pastimes but one of the few possible things. I feel a home pedicure coming on!

Eyebrows as a good shape can make you look 'done up' even without make up or pedicure as you won't be able to reach!

Smerlin · 05/06/2013 18:22

Sorry cross posted - brows it is then!

HadALittleFaithBaby · 05/06/2013 22:05

If you haven't had your eyebrows shaped before, you can just pitch up. I had a mani/pedi and my eyebrows shaped at about 37 weeks. The pedicure was the ultimate thing! My poor feet loved it and I have flip flop style slippers and after the birth I kept thinking At least my feet look nice!. :)

Teaandflapjacks · 06/06/2013 10:52

sorry to hi-jack but my DH bought me a spa - massage - voucher before we knew I was up the duff. I plan to use it after the birth and have a nice afternoon pampering - how long should I wait to do that though? I guess it must depend on what kind of birth you have - but 6-8 weeks post would be ok? anyone know?

OP - I would go for a facial and maybe neck and shoulders massage? If you are like me shoulders feel very tired!

Teaandflapjacks · 06/06/2013 10:54

sorry just realised it was 25 quid - second what the other posters have said then. also you can buy eyebrow and eyelash dye in boots - i always do my own - brows are dead easy (eyelashes less so).
