wouldnt do any harm to take a test but the Mirena coil can stop periods so it could just be the coil itself making you feel strange. I rarely have bleeding with the Mirena coil.

I am on my second Mirena coil and have found that I tend to stop bleeding in the middle 3 years of the life of each coil. It is common not to bleed at all when they have bedded in. However my dsis did become pregnant and had to have emergency scan due to high risk of ectopic pregnancy. She miscarried at 5-6 weeks which is actually how the coil works. It prevents implantation rather than fertilization. The odd embryo has a go but fails. Very rarely implantation occurs and is successful.
Make sure you do test and see GP asap if positive.

I fell pregnant while on the coil, so while it's rare it can happen.
I had 2 false negatives at 6 weeks, went to the doctor a week later and found out I was pregnant :O

I found that when I had my coil my periods stopped after a year. I would ake a test just in case though because it can happen - MIL used to delight in telling me that DH was conceived whilst on it!!

When I was on a mierna I didn't have any periods at all I had loss for 6 weeks when it was fitted then nothing everyone has a different experience with it I think xx
