Pinching jabby pains lower tummy - anyone else?

Hi, all. I'm just over 27 weeks pg went to my maternity walk-in clinic this morning because I've been having pinching, jabbing pains in my lower abdomen. Not agony. Just annoying and a bit unnerving. I had urine tested, blood pressure taken, baby heartbeat checked, an internal exam (cervix closed) and some precautionary swabs taken to check for infection. I'll get the swab results monday hopefully. But unless it is an infection, the midwife couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone else have the same as just normal pg pains? It's not the first time I've had them but it's been a while since the last lot of jabby pains so I got it checked out. MW commented on how lively baby is (he's been pretty relentless the past few days!). Could it just be him? I was relieved nothing seemed wrong but I now don't know if I'm meant to go to walk-in every time I get them or just accept them as part of my pg.

Could be ligament pain?! As long as you've had the all clear from the clinic I'm sure it's maybe an over active baby!

But please someone correct me if I'm wrong lol

Oh I also have Pelvic Girdle Pain (SPD) too. So I'm guessing that's not helping either

If it feels like mega period pain then yes am having them too. No idea what is causing them, have pgp too but mw says its not related.

All she says is if paracetamol and rest doesn't cure it go to triage but have been putting it off...tends to be worse if I have overdone things but today has been very bad. I will be heading off to hospital if still bad on Monday

Not like period pain (though have had some cramping previously) More like being randomly jabbed in the cervix with something sharp. I'm not in a panic over it as baby is pretty lively and MW gave me a good checking over. But I just wondered what it was. Maybe my swab will come back infection?? Hope not. I hope it's just the little man leaning on a nerve or something.

Oooooh I had this, look up lightening crotch on google, it really hurts and just gets worse im afraid, im now 40+1 and have mademy own name for it, if this name applies to what your feeling I shouldn't worry to much. FANNY DAGGERS!

Yes it sounds like lightening crotch (but fanny daggers is much better name!)! Ive read its baby rubbing over your cervix.

Those old fanny daggers seem so long ago now!
