Blood results for downs syndrome

Hi

I had my combined test yesterday, at 12 weeks + 5 days. We were given a risk of 1 in 10 of down's syndrome.

Nuchal screening was good, all markers normal.
Bloods not normal:
HCG 3.86
PAPP-A 0.36

Had a CVS and waiting for results.

Anyone else have results of this kind?

Bumping for you

I had 1:27 results because of blood results combined with age (I was 40). Had amnio at 17 weeks and all was fine. Ds2 is now 7 weeks.

I hope you get the result you want. It's far more likely that you'll get good news rather than bad, but I know the stress of waiting - it's hell.

BelleEtLaBaby · 30/05/2013 18:15

I had 1:2 results with ds1 following REALLY weird bloods and slightly raised nt. Amnio results clear. It's possible.

I remember the terror of the wait very well so have a big old hand hold from me xx

No experience. But wanted to wish u luck for the tests and hope all is ok xx

It's awful isn't it. I had a CVS too as my risk was high - bloods and my age skewed the result. Am now 34 weeks and all was fine. The waiting is awful but try not to worry or read too much as it will just do your head in. Hopefully you will get a definitive result in the next few days and you can take things from there.
Hope things work out for you.

How stressful for you :(.

DH's colleague had results of 1:4 and the baby didn't have Down's syndrome.

Hi, thanks everyone, yes you're right, the wait is agonising. We find out tomorrow - fingers crossed!

Really happy for you, enjoy the rest of your pregnancy x

Well done. Remember most of us never know for sure, my risk is one in several thousand which is good but our bean could still be the one (this happened to a friend). You know for sure now! X
