Has anyone any experience of this? Every flipping night I wake after about an hour with this weird sensation in my knees and the top of my hip joints. I can't get back to sleep and I'm completely knackered! I've had it off and on this pg but I'm now 36 weeks and its every night!

Does it feel like your legs are constantly about to twitch and you need to move them around? If it does its restless leg syndrome, sounds like a made-up thing but its awful! Nothing you can do about it either although I think no caffeine and a warm bath before bed are supposed to help. I get it in my legs and shoulder joints too, I feel for you, it's so annoying!

Hi Soursweets,

thanks for your reply! No its more the feeling you get when you need to go to the loo if that's not TMI (actually that is TMI isn't it?). But when I go the loo there's ..um... nothing doing if you get my drift. Like you get shaky knees when you're about to have diarrhoea? So sorry to hear you've got RLS. It sounds grisly!

Oh, I see what you mean. I don't get shakey knees but I do get lots of "oh no, I need to get to a toilet" moments but then nothing happens. I'm 30 weeks and it does seem to be happening more frequently than before.. So not much help from me, other than sympathy! (Also there's no such thing as TMI when you're pregnant, I have become a complete over sharer) x
