Hi all, currently 35 weeks pregnant...
Me and dh cannot decide what to call the baby. We have vetoed every name in the book for one reason or another. The only name we vaguely agree on is Elliot and I'm starting to wain on that one too. We did like Finley for a while but it doesn't really go with our surname and it is so popular ow which puts me off a little. Please help or he will be baby s his whole life!!

leland?

Bunnychan · 09/05/2013 21:42

If you have a smart phone, download a name app and keep hitting 'random'; that's what we did and it proved mildly entertaining too :-)
I also looked back through our family trees for inspiration x

Bunnychan · 09/05/2013 21:43

Just read back properly- Elliot is our choice of boys name if we have a boy- Elliot Francis x

MerryMarigold · 09/05/2013 21:47

i quite like Leo for a boy. hoping my baby is a boy so i can use the name

also liked Finlay but dp not so much, he knew someone with that name who was an alcoholic lol. though he did like Finn, but it doesnt roll off the tongue the same with surname as Finlay would.

i havent really thought of any other names since i thought of Leo though, could be a prob if dp doesnt agree with me so il be watching in here for some ideas!

looneytune · 10/05/2013 14:25

Oh, 34+4 here with our 3rd boy and having the very same problem. Dh would have him called Elvis if given half the chance - that's a definite NO! Grin

Will watch this thread for ideas!

Dusty04 · 10/05/2013 14:58

I love Hugo but DH hates it! I like Max, Sam and Ollie too :) I like Milo but think its a bit too trendy for us!

eltsihT · 10/05/2013 17:07

We have Steiner and, Ólafur as our boys names, last time we had Ragnar, Steiner and Finnur as names, also vaguely considering Sigfus this time. (Hubby is icelandic)

We won't know till we meet them, didn't last time either. Maybe have a few names picked and wait till you meet them.

This time we have a yellow bump so have a list of girls names too!

DaveMccave · 10/05/2013 18:27

If you like Elliot, how about Elijah? Both can be Eli for short.
Also Solomon, Hugo, Fergus/Angus, Otto?

NumberTwoDue · 11/05/2013 07:20

Top three last time (she was a girl so none got used):

Theo
Milo
Henry

This time we like:

Oscar
Callum
Rory (but doesn't work as a duo with DD's name)
Paul (same)

StuckOnARollercoaster · 11/05/2013 09:39

Our list for boys is
Seb (Sebastian)
Gus (Augustus)
Red (Redmond) if comes out red haired as I'm a redhead!

TinkyPeet · 11/05/2013 16:31

I have a Ryan, which is less popular now than when it was 7 years ago, and picked it then because i didn't know any other Ryan's. this time were goin for Harry, yet to find a middle name though x

CPtart · 11/05/2013 16:45

Adam
Luke
Zachary
Evan
Marcus
Edward
William
Christopher
Dominic

NonnoMum · 11/05/2013 16:54

Barry
Keith
Roger...

I GUARANTEE none of these will be in your son's class.

pinkgirl1 · 11/05/2013 17:24

I loved Elliot when pregnant with my first but had a Daughter instead and now I am happy I didn't choose it...love Anton just now for a boy??

Snowflakepie · 11/05/2013 18:37

My list for DS: Leo, Christopher, Isaac.
DHs list: Leo, Matthew, Benedict.

Guess what his name will be!

We knew DD was a girl so didn't have any boy names then.

Middle names will be from our grandads, one each side. Luckily they are nice names.

If you love a name don't be put off that its popular. If you really love it you will only seethe inside every time you hear it shouted in the park. DDs was #10 in her birth year, I've only met one a few years older and love it totally, it is perfect for her. Now it's going off the boil a bit. Go with your heart, the right name will come!

emzypoo · 11/05/2013 20:35

How's about logan or jenson I chose them but had a little girl I'm def using one of those if we have another one and a boy x

milkymocha · 11/05/2013 21:11

borrowedlight · 12/05/2013 01:29

Reuben? Roo or Rube for short.
