Did you notice the show before you go into labour?

Been reading about the first sign of labour is the show, but does EVERYONE notice it? Or can it come away and you not even know? I only ask, because the past 2 days I've been getting a little discharge, but I know you can towards the end of pregnancy. I'm 37w3d, but she's been engaged for about 2 weeks now. Could this be the start of labour? It's my first, so every little twinge is making me think now... ARKK!!! xxx

No show for me, had some twinges whilst walking the dog at about 10pm then waters broke at 4.30am next morning

I didn't notice a show at all.

But my waters broke a week before I went into labour, so I may have been more focussed on that.

I was induced for dc2 so only have dc1 to go on and yes there was no missing it or mistaking my show, huge amount of pale green tinged lumpy snotty mucus in my pants! Cx started 2 days after.

No, I didn't notice a show. Never got braxton hicks either.

i did with my first - a few hours later my waters went and a few hours later my contractions started

second time round i don't remember noticing a show and my waters broke 5 mins before delivery

I didn't have a show or braxton hicks, just got a sharp pain in my stomach and then contractions started

i had a show with DS, but not with DD.

I had a sweep and then the show started to come away gradually but once it properly started, you couldn't miss it!

I noticed the mucus plug (never quite sure if that's different to a show?!) it was a big blobby bit of discharge! Quite easy to miss I guess but it was quite big and noticeably not just normal discharge! please ignore that total contradiction!

Yes with ds1, no with ds2. Both times had to have my waters broken when in labour, never experienced BH

Ds1 mine started to come away after my sweep. Ds2 started loosing my plug weeks and weeks before I gave birth but it changed to more and slightly blood streaked in the few days before I had him. The actual bloody show come away around 2-3cm with them both

God you couldn't have missed the rank fist sized blob of the stickiest material known to man that plopped into my pants a few hours before my waters went and contractions started. Gross.
