hiya fellow mums, me and my partner are trying for another baby. i came off of contraception mid january, my periods went straight back to normal 10th feb, then 10th march. i have missed aprils. my partner is in army so we hardly see each other. he was home for a few days on the 28th-31st march, that was the time i would have concieved if i am.. ive done 2 tests this week and both have been negative. i dont really know what to do or think at this moment. any advise would be appriciated Smile

It could just be too early to test. Have u tried the clear blue with conception indicator or first response as they are best ones for early testing. Other than that you may have to wait another week. Hard I know. But good luck and hope you get what you want x

yeah ive tried a superdrug early one, then a first response. i just want to know lol. i may get a clearblue next week sometime if things are still the saem. im getting period type pains also, have been all week. thanks x

Yes, you could be. And if you are, then you'd test positive about 14 days after conception. Sperm live a few days inside you, so it's possible you conceived whilst he was there, or just after taking it into early April. So I'd give it another 2-3 days and retest.

if i am should i be getting pains/aches in my abdomen and lower back. i didnt get this with my first. and my doctor has been useless.

Some people do get cramps around the time of implantation - and it varies between each pg. There isn't anything a doctor can do, apart from tell you to wait and see; at least not until you are at least a clear 2 weeks after the latest likely date of conception (which allowing for sperm living up to say 5 days in vivo would be 19th - ish).

For my first DC I tested when I was a week late (two cheapy tests) and they were both negative. Four days later I did an expensive Clear Blue test and got a positive. Fingers crossed for you!

bfp = big fat positive
dc - darling child

Ohh that's reassuring. Thanks :) lots of people have said to get on so I think I will in a few days time.

The wait is annoying, you're second guessing every single symptom! Let us know how you get on.

armywag21 · 15/04/2013 07:51

Yep that's what I keep doing. I will :)

Oh no! Really sorry. Did the doc do a test??

armywag21 · 04/06/2013 12:18

Sorry for the non reply.. Had a awful month or so with family problems. No they wouldn't do a blood test but I had a really horrible period.

My partners been home for 2 weeks so we've got out fingers crossed this month will be our month. :)
