You can have paracetamol too

If still can't swallow, see GP( or OOH GP as weekend). If tonsillitis may need penicillin which is safe in pregnancy

I had a horrible cough at about 6 weeks so I rang my Dr's and she prescribed me antibiotics, amoxicillin, which cleared it right up. I didn't even have to go into the surgery. It's definitely worth phoning them to ask.

Poor you - I've had similar over the last week - a flu bug with agonising sore throat (pain wasn't much less than my 2 nights of labour)

I'm in a slightly different position in that I am longer pregnant (DD is 8 weeks old) but am still restricted in what I can take due to breastfeeding.

I sent DP off to the pharmacy and they were useless and said I couldn't take anything other than paracetamol! I then saw my GP who spent some time talking me through some painkillers I could take.

If you can't bear the pain, then do go and see your GP for advice. Hope you're better soon.
