Feel a bit woozy and not right - 32 weeks

I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow. I feel really odd today, woozy, a bit dizzy, nauseous and just generally not right. I kind of remember a couple of spells of this last time but not sure. Just after a bit of reassurance that all is fine and there's nothing I need to do?

I have a 2 year old to look after so a good rest is out of the question!

Sorry this won't be reassuring but I think you should get checked out and at the very least get your blood pressure checked.

Not sure what facilities you have access to but go sooner rather than later as you don't want to be left worried over the weekend.

Thanks

Not exactly the reassuring post I'm looking for to be honest! We have an OOH dr nearby so if things get worse I can head up there. Have my 2 year old though so not easy to do right now and I don't think it's anything serious but how would I know?

I agree with Impatient I'm afraid - I felt like that at 31 weeks and my DTs were delivered at 31+3. Better to be safe than sorry and all that...

RedKites · 22/03/2013 16:26

Could you call the OOH Dr and/or your midwife and see what they think?

NoTeaForMe · 22/03/2013 16:27

My DRs doesn't have a regular MW, actually I think one has been employed very recently, but I don't have a number for her. Do you think I should call someone then? Who?

Stories like that are not welcome silverangel !

Are you in the UK? In my area you call the labour ward if you need to speak to a MW out of hours, it was written on my notes, but I know other areas are different. If all else fails, I expect NHS Direct could at least tell you who to call?

Right, have you eaten/drunk enough today? You aren't lying back crushing your big blood vessels are you ? Are you particularly tired?
It would be wise to get someone to come and be with you and the little un , just in case you faint etc.
If you have any reduction in movement, get in touch with maternity assessment at your hospital.
If in ANY doubt-just seek help. Can you try and lie down and have a cold drink and 10 min rest? I know you have a toddler (I've got two of the buggers and am 35 weeks Confused) but if you lie by them with a load of books/biccies/cbeebies-they usually leave you alone for a bit! Good luck x

NoTeaForMe · 22/03/2013 17:51

Thanks, my husband is on his way home now so he can take over with the toddler while I lie propped up!

There's no chance I've been lying down today and blocking blood vessels, I wish! I've definitely eaten enough and I'm now having some water in case it's that.

Baby is mich and wriggling as normal, she's more of an early evening mover anyway, but has definitely been wriggling enough for me not to be worried about that.

I am tired as I haven't slept well the last few nights, struggling to get to sleep with restless legs and waking up uncomfortable! Oh the joys!

Thanks for all your advice so far!

Have you drunk enough water today/ over past few days? I had spells of feeling quite odd (woozy, out of it, etc) throughout 2nd tri and pinned it down to not drinking enough...

But agree with others, if you're worried or it gets worse, get checked out.

zeldapinwheel · 22/03/2013 18:49

I felt similar to that recently and it turned out I was lacking iron.

Was prescribed some iron tablets and feel much better. Apart from the resulting constipation (sorry tmi)

Hope u feel better.

NoTeaForMe · 22/03/2013 19:09

I'm going to really watch my fluid intake, could easily be that I guess. I've never been very good at drinking unless it's wine, though that's obviously been forever now!

We have a relatively quiet weekend so will make sure I rest and drink lots!
