Hi
Has anyone else been given cyclogest in early pregnancy??
I went for an early scan yesterday and because I have had previous miscarriages they have put me on aspirin once a day and cyclogest pessaries of an evening. And I just wouldn't if anyone else had had the same thing? Just that I had never heard of this until I went for the scan yesterday but the nurse said it will strengthens womb and give me a higher chance of a successful pregnancy.
Any advice or information on using these would be much appreciated. Xx

Hi Everyone, I just had a miscarriage on the 12th of December. I was going for my 8weeks scan was told the pregnancy didn't grow, meaning no fetus , no heartbeat, we picked just a small round ball in a sack. was very sad day of my life. backround we did the egg transfer on the 22 Oct and everything went well. we did the blood tests and after 10days on the 1st of Nov and picked up pregnancy ,then went for second bloods test on the 3rd of Nov and rate had increased. I was happy with my progress. and was using both cyclogest supostry and estrofem pills everyday. so now all my joy is gone and left me with a big tummy. question 1. is there a way of testing the frozen eggs and sperm to check if they are viable to form a baby, 2 how long does it take to see my periods, 3 how do I take my tummy back to normal. people ask me if im pregnant. this is my 2nd unsuccessful transfer.

Hi I've had 2 recurrent miscarriages, both at week 8 and the doctor said that with my next pregnancy he will prescribe me aspirin and cyclogest. I just wanted to ask those that have taken these, how early are you supposed to start taking them (from what week)? I will be trying for a baby very soon, but obviously by the time I will find out I am pregnant it will already be week 4...and then going to the midwife to register the pregnancy etc will take a few days thereafter.

I'm just worried about starting the medication too late.

Hi thought I'd give a quick response to you. So iv had a total of 4 misscarriages since my last baby first 3 at 5 weeks and my last at 14 weeks pregnant. My consultant said next time am pregnant I'll need cyclogest and aspirin so as soon as I tested and was positive I went to the doctors, they then got in touch with my Dr who prescribed cyclogest for 38 days 2 a day and aspirin from 12 weeks. So basically as soon as you know your pregnant go to doctors and get it started. Good luck x
