So I have an early scan tomora after having some bleeding today (I am only 5 weeks and 2 days) and am so nervous that they won't be able to see a baby or that something has gone wrong!!!
Has anyone else had a scan this early? And if so could you see anything. I'm so scared and my DH just keeps saying dont worry and what will be will be. But I can't think of it like that. From the minute I found out I have wanted this baby so much (its our first) but I think cos it wasn't planned he is still getting his head round it all and hasn't formed an attachment yet.
Anyway I guess I'm just after some reassurance and somewhere to vent because I am finding it difficult. So thanks in advance ladies xx

I've had 3 pregnancies which were early bleeders and I've had 3 healthy babies. No amount of reassurance here will stop you worrying so I'm just going to hold your hand. Good luck.

I had a bit of bleeding at 6 weeks, went for an early scan and it was fine. Could see heartbeat, embryo and yolk sac. Although dont worry if you can't see the heartbeat yet as I think it only forms at around 6 weeks. I am now 20 weeks with a healthy boy. Good luck, and try not to worry too much! X

Had one at 5+4 (maybe be prepared for internal scan too, it doesn't hurt at all) it didn't show anything but a sac (however I have a tilted uterus, so it does vary person to person) went back 12 days after and there was a baby with a heartbeat.

Good luck for today xx

I had bleeding when I was 6 wks and went for an early scan. I had an internal scan and everything was fine, there was a heartbeat. They then gave me some hormone tablets to take for a while. My dd is now 3 yrs old.

But I know that it is extremely stressful and worrying. Good luck for today.

Good luck for today, I had an early scan at a similar time and was really only able to see a pregnancy and yolk sac and and the very tiniest what the sonographer thought was a fetal pole (if I'm honest I couldn't really make out what she was referring to!), no heartbeat (I'm now 29 weeks and things are fine) so don't worry if you don't see one, things are changing rapidly at your stage so even a couple of days out each way can make all the difference xx

So just got back from scan and although we couldn't see the baby we did see the sac and everything is going as should be and the little pea is doing fine. I'm so pleased. We have to go back in two weeks for another scan just to check the progress but they seemed happy enough with everything so far!!!
I'm so happy I could cry!!!
Thanks again for all ur support xxx
