Also posted this in antenatal tests but no responses so trying here.

Had my 12 week scan today (I put myself at 12+3 scan put me at 13+0) Baby wasn't playing ball and it took some time to get him into a position to do the measurements. The measurements were 2.7, 3.5 and 2.9 but the measurement on my notes is 3.0 so assume they have averaged them. They said they were within normal ranges but 3.0, and especially the 3.5, are worrying me.

I know I need to wait for bloods back but was wondering if anyone had the same but had been low risk?

I'm 32 and this is baby number 1

The size of the nuchal fold is related to the length of the pregnancy, so 3mm at 13 weeks is not the same as 3mm at 12 weeks.

Did they do bloods as well? They'll take the measurement together with bloods and your underlying risk based on your age and give you a figure of 1:whatever. It's not very accurate or useful to rely on one measurement alone.

Oh, and good luck! I was the opposite - teeny, tiny nuchal but bad bloods so I was v high risk, but amnio showed baby was fine.

You will almost certainly come back low risk, but around 1:20 women do get a high risk result and almost all of those babies will have no issues at all.

Thanks Sleepy They took bloods today so know I need to wait for results (and try to avoid Dr Google!) just can't stop stressing!

Glad all worked out well for you.
