Dodgy tummy last night. Should I be worried

Ok so last night I went to bed with a bit of a stomach ache, which I had put down to bit if constipation, not really been properly for a few days (sorry if tmi)

I woke up I about 1am in absolute agony, terrible tummy ache and then had a bit of the runs and was also quite violently sick. I am 17&2 and not been such for about 4 weeks now and even then was not to this extent.

I went back to sleep and did wake up a but exhausted this morning so haven't been to work. But I feel ok now.

I had fajitas for dinner last night and they were pretty spicy as hubby cooked them and he loves the chilli powder. Also I then remembered I'd had chilli for my lunch yesterday.

Am sure it isn't food poisoning, I'd be in absolute agony still if it was wouldn't I.

Can I just assume that baby didn't like all the spice or that it has just upset my stomach? I don't need to worry about the baby do I?

Sometimes a girl just needs assurance! I don't need to do anything do I?

Thanks

I had similar last week (at 33 weeks). Totally out of the blue and stopped just as quickly. Keep an eye on things, make sure you drink plenty. You should be fine but if you're worried contact your GP or midwife.

Hope you are feeling better bejeena, you'll be fine :) I had norovirus at around 12 weeks and all I read pointed to baby being fine, just watch you don't get dehydrated if it goes on over a period of time.

Hi Bejeena, I'm a bit earlier than you but could have written your post last week... Ate fajitas (normally love them), 3/4 hours later horribly sick and unfortunately - in my case at least - it took me out for a couple of days, plus then recovery time.
I think spice is the thing, dont know about you but I hadn't actually been eating differently, but that made me pay attention.
Hope you feel better soon, and get the chance for lots of rest
