In brief, I had an EMCS in october 2012 (5ish months ago) and i'm already 10 weeks pregnant with baby number 2- meaning baby due oct 2013. We really wanted babies close in age as a choice due to personal reasons and career reasons (great maternity pay but hate my job). At my 12 week check i was told by the doctor i would be fine to go ahead and ttc- and we did that month not thinking it would happen for a while! Now im thinking we've been incredibly stupid as far as scar rupture etc is concerned. Midwife wasnt concerned its just ive heard so many horror stories of having a baby too quick after a c section!
My scar has healed great so far, had no pain after 4 weeks or reopening and its changing in colour to look like a real scar.
Need some reassurance i suppose Sad

Hi Cherry :) a friend of mine has 12 months between her 2 children; she had a c-section with her first and fell pregnant after 3 months! She was fine, no rupture or anything but was advised to try for a VBAC which she managed successfully! I'm sure you will be fine if the Dr told you it was ok.
