I'm due af the end of this week but since last week I have had the most horrendous stomach cramps which are a cross between wind pains and pms cramps, sudden urge to run to the loo for number 2 (sorry tmi) and generally feel quite queasy and I'm completely off my food.
I know the rational thing to do would be to test but after 5 years of being dissappointed I guess I'm scared to. My head is telling me its far to soon to feel like this, I'm possibly 13dpo but my heart is telling me that I could be. Did anyone know before they tested by just how awful they felt?? Be grateful to get some replies xx

Yes. Cramps from implantation and swollen breasts each time. I've been pregnant 5 times (3 mcs) but always knew beforehand. even if I tested early and got negative I remained convinced and was always right!

Cantbelieveitsnotbutter · 12/03/2013 10:49

I did, I used to pat my tummy and talk to baby. We were doing the opposite of ttc so I still don't know how I knew as I was on the pill and not late.
Fingers and toes crossed xx

ilovepicnmix · 12/03/2013 10:52

Nope. Only reason I did a test was because I had a gp appointment booked because of long cycles and I thought the first thing I'd be asked was if I was pregnant. I remember thinking the positive result was v strange as I wasn't pregnant. It was only about an hour and another test later that it dawned on me that I actually was pregnant.

ilovepicnmix · 12/03/2013 10:53

Ps. Good luck!

SeriousStuff · 12/03/2013 10:58

Yes, my breasts just felt like they were in the way, especially when lying down and trying to get to sleep. Plus, I'd have to nap during the day because I was so tired!

Saundy · 12/03/2013 11:02

I had cramps, bad wind Blush, really bloated, according to DP was aggressive (which is out of character) & was frequently urinating. I did a test which came back negative & so took it as something else. Anyway almost a week later when still no show (I can be irregular) I took another (3) and they were positive.

I would wait, tests taken early can be unreliable & could cause you some unnecessary heart ache.

Good luck!

Dylanlovesbaez · 12/03/2013 11:04

Yep! Boobs felt like lead weights, smell of bacon made me feel sick and I ran upstairs and felt so dizzy and faint, that was it, I just knew!

lynniep · 12/03/2013 11:07

I knew with DS1. Never been pg before that, but my boobs were so sore I just knew something was 'up'. I was completely knackered as well.

No idea with DS2. Never paid much attention to my periods then one day I realised I hadnt had one for a good couple of months. Twas only then I went out to get a test!

windywoo26 · 12/03/2013 11:07

I didn't with DC1. We had been trying for a while and every month I thought I was pg. I did test on dpo 11 though! Was shocked when it was positive, although v faint. I am now 7 wks pg with DC2 (fingers crossed) and I knew this time. I felt faint a few times, was absolutely shattered and felt worse as the day went on (exactly like how I was further on with DC1). Everything crossed for you

beckie90 · 12/03/2013 11:09

I did but then again, I've also thought it when I wasn't pregnant lol. Good luck x

BubaMarra · 12/03/2013 11:22

I didn't actually now before testing but in hindsight I remember thinking about a colleague at work how rude she was for putting so much perfume on (and the perfume had a horrendous smell). That was a major pregnancy sign, I just didn't realise it at the time.
Good luck!

Umlauf · 12/03/2013 11:24

Not at all, I'd been groaning about how not pregnant i was and had another month to try. The previous months I HAD felt pregnant and not been. Weird!

WankbadgersBreakfast · 12/03/2013 11:33

Not a dicky-bird of an idea. I was lying on the bed and was trying to remember my last period (irregular periods, can be six months or so between them) and couldn't. So I rolled over and said "feel like going to grab a pregnancy test? Just want to check." Bam, BFP. Was around 8 weeks.

PinkApple86 · 12/03/2013 11:43

Looking back I had all the symptoms, big hurty boobs, no period, constipation, and my face felt puffed up. Was in denial as had a negative test so didn't want to get my hopes up but dh made me test again (3 times!) and all 3 were BFP.

EuroShaggleton · 12/03/2013 12:08

Nope, I had no idea. In fact I was sure it hadnt worked. I only tested at home because I was due to have a blood test at my fertility clinic and wanted warning before they called me at work with the result. To my absolute astonishment there was a second line. I had far more symptoms on months when I hadn't been pg.

CareerGirl01 · 12/03/2013 12:13

I had DD1 four years ago and got pg with DC2 last August - I had no symptoms whatsoever. I do think when you are TTC - as we did with DC2 - you can easily imagine all kinds of things. Not that other women don't get symptoms but the mind is a strange place...

BraveLilBear · 12/03/2013 12:33

First time, yes, usual PMT symptoms just hadn't happened and smell was a little more sensitive, though this ended in an early MC. Second time, not a scooby doo - was cursing the fact that I'd had period cramps for 6 days but no period on here when someone said to take a test. I did, begrudgingly, and was astonished (but delighted) at the BFP.

sar1133 · 12/03/2013 12:44

Yes just had a feeling. I was only 3 days late and had not always had regular periods but just kinda knew. Can't put my finger on it! I felt sick tired and hot if that helps? Did my test quite early on so clear blue said pregnant 1-2 weeks. With the nature of my job it's better to know earlier

RuckAndRoll · 12/03/2013 13:03

Nope. I only did a test as it's a sure fire way to encourage AF to get started (was going away and wanted it out of the way!). Was a real shock to get a BFP although I don't know why as we were TTC at the time.

sausagebaconandtomatobutty · 12/03/2013 13:08

Yep knew both times because my boobs went all veiny and I went off coffee which I normally live off

cherrycherry41 · 12/03/2013 13:08

First time i knew straight away before the bfp, i just felt 'odd' i had been ill and my boobs hurt and my period was a few days late, i had lost my appeitite and wanted to sleep all day! I needed all my courage to poas! and it was bfp!
Second time i was peeing on a stick from 10dpo as i was just 'certain' i was pregnant. I was right again but got my bfp 16dpo x

duchesse · 12/03/2013 13:22

DS yes, after a few days, DD1 didn't suspect a thing till 11 weeks, DD2 straight away before first missed period, had strong suspicion with DD3 within a week (ie before period due). So yes for 3/4 of em.

blondebaby111 · 12/03/2013 13:25

Thanx for all your comments. Although we've been trying for a long time its only recently that I've took a more relaxed approach, if anyone asks I just say well if it happens it happens now, its too much stress. I even went out and bought a nice sporty (2 door) car a few weeks back, I'm that it will never happen anytime soon. I've had months where I thought I was but this time it seems different..I've been so ill!! Only time will tell,

OP, I had exactly the symptoms you describe, and despite ttc for 12 months it never crossed my mind that I was pg. Also, I had raging hunger and everyone at world worked out I was pg when I ate my lunch mid morning. Again, didn't cross my mind......

Sounding good for you op! Fingers crossed :)

CitrusyOne · 12/03/2013 13:28

Everyone at work. Would be good going if everyone in the world knew I was pg!
