I've been vomiting since before 7 this morning

Please help. I'm 8+1, I thought I was vomiting as I've got a cold and blocked nose which often makes me sick.
But it's never made me sick for over 12 hours, I must have vomited at least 12 times today. It's been worse for the last 2 hours. I can keep things down for a short while and am drinking plenty, but the last time at the end was clearly bile and it was so horrible. This must be morning sickness right, not because of my cold?
What do I do?

Oh you poor, poor thing. Try and keep up the fluids, and if it carries on being this frequent, see your doc for anti- sickness medication. Are you sure it's not a bug if it isn't usually this bad?

mine did peak at about 8 or 9 weeks... the end is in sight!

It could be Norovirus. Do you have bad bowel/stomach cramps too and/or the runs?
I had it just before Xmas and its still doing the rounds apparently.
Get someone to nip to the pharmacy and get some hydration sachets for you. Add them to water (they're totally safe) and keep drinking as much as you can of them. The key thing is to keep hydrated.
I'd call NHS Direct if you're still being sick in a few hours time.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'd see a doc asap next week. Tell the receptionist you are pg, that should prioritise you.

You might have hyperemisis - excessive sickness in pregnancy. You'll be OK if you can stay hydrated, but do see a doctor, or go to A&E.

Have a look at Pregnancy Sickness Support for a lot of advice.

I had hyperemisis from about 8-16 weeks in both pg. It's utterly crap. Got vaguely manageable with medication, but I was in and out of hospital a lot.

Thank you! I'll see how I am in the morning (it's always a weekend when stuff like this happens!) and decide what to do. Some Lucozade has stayed down at the moment.

With DS I was sick most days until about 17 weeks, but I've never been so limited by nausea and vomiting!
I was sick once a day over the last week, but this is quite a shock.

If you can't keep fluids down for 24 hours please contact your gp or go through a and e. you will become dehydrated.

I have had 3 admissions in the last 3 weeks due to hyperemesis. You need anti sickness and fluids.

Look after yourself x
