The lightest newborn car seat ...

Hi,

I'm awful at carrying heavy things and therefore I'm on the lookout for the lightest newborn car seat. Any idea which one that is?

I have a maxi cosi and i chose it because it was the lightest in the shop! And plus it looks really nice! Hope this helps xx

Steer clear of the Maxi Cosi Pebble, I don't think it's heavy but it's bloody awful, really horrible straps and dd hates it.

You don't have to carry a baby in a car seat. I always left ours in the car and took the baby out of it. Seemed easier than dangling a huge weight at arms length

To be honest they are all a nightmare within a month or 2 - I occasionally took mine out to attach to the pram but generally it stayed in the car as they are so heavy and bulky - the car seat plus my DS at 5 months weighed more than my pram so certainly wouldn't have wanted to carry it unnecessarily!
