Hi,

I'm awful at carrying heavy things and therefore I'm on the lookout for the lightest newborn car seat. Any idea which one that is?

Thanks!

I have a maxi cosi and i chose it because it was the lightest in the shop! And plus it looks really nice! Hope this helps xx

Definitely, definitely NOT mamas and papas. It's a back breaker.

Steer clear of the Maxi Cosi Pebble, I don't think it's heavy but it's bloody awful, really horrible straps and dd hates it.

You don't have to carry a baby in a car seat. I always left ours in the car and took the baby out of it. Seemed easier than dangling a huge weight at arms length

To be honest they are all a nightmare within a month or 2 - I occasionally took mine out to attach to the pram but generally it stayed in the car as they are so heavy and bulky - the car seat plus my DS at 5 months weighed more than my pram Confused so certainly wouldn't have wanted to carry it unnecessarily!
