Raw fish is safe in pregnancy as long as its been frozen.

Most sushi restaurants use frozen fish so I highly doubt M&S or Sainsburys would use fresh.

Depends what's in it. Mostly I think you'renot meant to eat raw fish because of potential parasites, but I think all the 'raw' fish sold here for sushi has been frozen which kills off the parasites. Also, isn't supermarket sushi mainly cooked fish (tuna etc) plus veg etc because they can keep it on display longer?

Personally I can't stand supermarket sushi because it sits around for ages and the rice goes hard, but I don't think it's dangerous.
