Im 26 weeks, and have obstained from dying my hair until now as worry of harming the baby. I am still worried about this but my hair has become so dull and im really feeling the need to give myself a bit of a treat to make myself feel better!

I only have foils of bleach and golden highlights (nothing rubbed into my head). What would others do? I dont want to end up doing it and worrying myself silly for the next few weeks!

dye away, completely ok!

It's fine! I've been home dying all the way through. Do a skin test 48 hours before, hormones can sometimes change reactions to your regular dye.

I had highlights through all my first pregnancy (now healthy 2.5 year old) and plan to do the Same through this one. My midwife said no problem with it, I too have blond foil highlights in.
Definitely book an appt a week or two before your due date so you'll have good hair for new baby photos!

I usually get an all over dye. Spoke to my hairdresser this weekend (I'm only 7 weeks) and she did foils instead as none of the dye comes into contact with your scalp so it's absolutely fine.

It's fine. Just make sure you do a skin allergy test and maybe a strand test as pregnancy hormones can do some very strange things in some women! Also make sure you have a window open if you're worried about the fumes.

Even if it does touch your scalp, it's fine. There's no way the molecules in hair dye are going to be magically absorbed into your bloodstream let alone cross the placenta. If they did, I'd be dead by now. Agree with the skin allergy test if you want to be extra cautious though, even if you've had it done before.
