And be home for breakfast? Smile
40 +7 with dc3. Had a good sweep today. Just did 'it' with Dh followed by an orgasm. However, no show, no increase in BH and my cervix was still quite far back this morning.

Booked in for induction Monday am if nothing happens between now and then. I'd love to have this all out of the way and be back home when the boys wake up in the morning.
It's a pipe dream isn't it.

Erm, you could try ordering in a bucketload of vindaloo, eating 17 pineapples, bouncing on your ball and fiddling with your nips. All at the same time. That could work!

Hope DC3 is here soon.

stainesmassif · 21/02/2013 23:59

Heartburn. Envy. Me too. I've kind of forgotten there's another baby at the end of this.

I feel your heartburny pain. Hence why I'm still awake.

Know what you mean about just realising there's a baby at the end. I'm 36+6 with DC2 and it doesn't feel real. DH looked at me today and said 'Oh my god you're pregnant. We're having an actual baby'. Eeek!

Going to have a final swig of Gaviscon and try to sleep. Hope you have a labour-filled night. Get those nipples twiddled!

stowsettler · 22/02/2013 07:27

staines I hope your labour starts in the next 3 days! I hope mine does too, am also booked for induction on Mon!! Unfortunately my swreep yesterday revealed a still-firm cervix, still 2cm long, 1cm dilated and baby at -2. I am resigned to going in Monday.
Hope you have more luck!!!

stainesmassif · 22/02/2013 20:18

Well...I've had a bit of a show, and done a big, unexpected pooh. (no such thing as tmi on these threads) so I started to get a bit excited earlier. But of course now the kids are in bed and I've got in the bath everything seems to be back to normal.

PartyFops · 22/02/2013 20:31

Do they not say that the bath slows things down, I would bounce bounce bounce baby! Keep standing, let gravity do its thing!

good luck Grin

stainesmassif · 22/02/2013 20:42

Tbh I've peed myself/leaked so many times today I couldn't unfocus on the bath. You're right tho, I'll get out now.

Anything happening Staines?

stainesmassif · 23/02/2013 18:01

Pah. No. Apart from some serious self pity. Stinking cold and both boys have been Iill this week and then it's been snowing so we're all stir crazy and waaaaaah it's not fair.

Lots of show though.

staines I feel your pain. I've blubbed pointlessly for much of today. I've also signed off Facebook until after the birth because if I responded as I'd like to people's perfectly well-meant comments and questions I'd lose a lot of friends. I have been absolutely evil today and am now in bed, where I can do no more harm. Sad

AmandaCooper · 23/02/2013 19:58

Ah well labour is no fun with a stinking cold anyway! Can you at least pack everyone off to bed?

stainesmassif · 23/02/2013 21:14

God, that makes me feel better. I had a cry earlier. And am heartily sick of 'have you had it yet'. Why don't people think you would say?? Now ds2 keeps waking and crying. He's hot. I just know its going to be a bad night.
Moan, moan, grumble, moan.

AmandaCooper · 23/02/2013 21:48

I've completely worn myself out with my attempts (mostly bouncing) to kick things off. If it starts now I'll just have to give birth here on the bed where I've collapsed! Hope things move on for everyone in the night.

goodbyekitty123 · 23/02/2013 22:23

Get your DH to gently massage round your ankles. It's a reflexology move meant to encourage labour. I had this done when I was close to my due date with DS and I went into labour the day before (had him bang on his due date). Good luck!

AmandaCooper · 23/02/2013 23:15

My DH has gone out for the night to escape from me, otherwise I would!

stainesmassif · 23/02/2013 23:56

I'm focusing on induction on Monday now. It's a half hour drive to the hospital and I can't bear the thought of it in labour. I've found the silver lining to the overdue cloud!!

Hey Staines, assuming you haven't spawned yet, good luck with induction tomorrow. Hope it's quick and comfortable for you.

AmandaCooper · 24/02/2013 22:58

Good luck for tomorrow Staines!

stainesmassif · 25/02/2013 13:10

Woo hoo! No induction here, I delivered dd on the floor of the bathroom at 3am after being sent home from hospital with mild contractions and dilation at 2cm. A very memorable experience!!

AmandaCooper · 25/02/2013 13:17

Woo hoo! Sounds a bit hairy but glad it turned out ok. Congratulations Staines I'm glad you avoided induction.

ChairmanWow · 25/02/2013 13:18

Wow! That is bloody amazing. I guess a bit scary as well. That's some story your DD will have whrn she's older.

Huge congratulations. I hope you're recovering well and enjoying lots of newborn snuggliness.

goodbyekitty123 · 25/02/2013 13:58

Wow! I thought things like that only happened on TV! Congratulations.

stainesmassif · 25/02/2013 16:16

It felt distinctly surreal. Lovely to be home now with the boys and being pampered by mum and mil. Babymoon rules.

Congratulations :) welcome to the world little girl :)

do come back and tell us more about your birth story when you get a chance Thanks

stainesmassif · 26/02/2013 22:26

I definitely keep meaning to, it was such an amazing experience, but really CBA to do it on the phone. However, it's amazing to be not pregnant. I'm lying on my tummy, without heartburn, next to my two day old sleeping daughter.
