Valentine's Day ideas for heavily pg couple?

Am I being delusional in thinking we may have one last hope of romance before baby comes in early March?

If anyone has any nice ideas, or has attempted this impossible feat and wants to share their experience, would be much appreciated!!

Think I'm maybe just gonna do a meal at home..
Maybe pop out for a pub lunch :)

Maybe a simple gift and cards..

Normal things like a meal out or the cinema would be fine. Foreign travel is probably out!

I'd avoid anything that involves a lot of standing up or walking.

LOL @ Amanda - sounds like my DH!!

A pub lunch is a good idea, would rather do something during the day so that I won't get too exhausted and collapse on my poor hubby :)

Would do a cinema trip, but might have to take a pillow with me... tried at Christmas and my back just couldn't cope through the whole 2 hours of sitting still! Had to get up halfway through and have a quick walk up and down the aisle and had people staring... sigh

I will be 37 weeks by then. DH will be working but it will prob be a nice meal at home, candles etc. thinking I will cheat and do a M&S meal for two or something to conserve energy and also Planning on trying for an afternoon nap so we can get a bit frisky before I conk out!

We tend to do an indoor picnic either in the living room or on the bed. Get lots of nice little things from the supermarket, half bottle of champagne (or a whole if your DH wants to get sloshed lol) and a nice film on DVD.

We never really did anything for valentine's day, but our wedding anniversary is 2 weeks before and this year I will be 34 weeks. We have a 2 year old DS and he'll be in bed whilst we eat a takeaway and order a film off the magic tv box! Sounds pretty unromantic but its what we'd like to do as it will be a treat for us. Failing that DH will take the following day off work and whilst DS is in nursery we can go out for lunch!

Dress up, put on makeup, cab it nearest restaurant. Meet there, eat, relax and take photos to show LO

We went to see a musical, was uncomfortable sitting but it lifted my tired spirits and distracted my obsessive pregnant, list making, anxious brain!

Thanks all, glad I'm not the only one! I'll be 36+2 on V Day this year, and hoping I won't feel too whale-like! Have even bought some lovely lacy lingerie that I'm hoping will still fit in three weeks time - hopeful much?

We've never really done anything major for V Day, we just use it as an excuse to go out and act like teenagers for an evening!! Past Valentine's Days include a homecooked steak and mash meal followed by a cheesy film on the TV, meals out at favourite/significant restaurants, cinema trip, trip to the beach where we went on our first date (quite chilly in Feb though!!)

Think we've decided to have a meal at the hotel/restaurant where we got married. Haven't been back there since we got hitched so would be a lovely trip down memory lane.

Also, loving the idea of taking a photo to show LO when he/she is older, MaMattoo! :)

We are, actually! DH has been getting a severe case of man-pregnancy. He's been blubbing over stuff easily, over sensitive, even getting aches and pains!! Personally I find it rather hilarious

We have a lovely valentines tradition - we book the day off and go out afternoon drinking - fancy cocktails, real ales what ever we like. We start early then catch the train home all loved-up and tipsy for spaghetti hoops on toast. Obviously won't be able to do that at 24weeks PG so we're going to the zoo to see a baby elephant instead.

Think I'd rather have my cocktails.

A few years ago I was 37 week pregnant on Valentine's day. DH had booked a table at a local restaurant, but just as were heading out I declared I was in a shit mood and asked him to cancel and to get me some hot Thai take away instead.

Minutes after I'd finished eating, my waters broke in a massive gush :)

DD was born the next morning.

Looking back, I'm so glad we cancelled our booking, I would have been pretty freaked out to break my waters in public, and I am not sure all the other loved up couples would have enjoyed the disturbance :o

With DC1 I was 38 weeks on valentines day and we went to a really nice restaurant. As capacity to eat was so low at that stage in PG, after the starter I was felt really full after a few mouthfuls of the main course and then felt exhausted and just wanted to get in bed. Was a bit of a waste of money really. If I was to do it again I would go for an early sitting so could have more time between courses for food to digest and not get tired. This year will have a 2 week old DC2 so will be some nice food from Waitrose or M&S (a lovely med/rare steak with pepper sauce sounds perfect right now) and some nice red vino.
