Why aren't you supposed to wear underwired bras? I have enormous bazookas and don't want to give up the tiny bit of support i get from an underwire!

OH my god - just been to Bravissimo - they stop at a 40. They don't do bras for big backs. I was gutted.

Back to square one!

oh no! poor you! I've just been looking at figleaves.com (am now about 500 miles from a Bravissimo shop) and they go up to way more (a 50FF to be precise) so perhaps they can help. I am currently admiring their underwired maternity bra with a view to he future...

yes but would you buy a bra on line without trying it on? I think every bra is different and needs to be tried on...hmmmm....havne't you had to get new bras yet? my baps have expanded rapidly!

Desparatehousewife - my boobs were size 42E before I became pregnant and I didn't know anything about the underwire thing until I was measured for a nursing bra at 38 weeks in M&S. The woman was shocked, akin to telling her I were a regular heroin user whilst pregnant, and told me that I'd probably restricted the growth of my milk ducts!

I successfully breast fed for 6 months, didn't have any problems getting started (apart from the excruciatingly sore nipples) so I'm tempted to say go with what's comfortable and what fits you.

Fortunately I've got a couple of bras that were a bit loose in the cup (so to speak!) and so am still, just, using those, although they'll be gone any day now.

I have bought bras mail order. Although given how much everything is changing, you may have a point. Maybe I'll get measured for something unpleasant at John Lewis and then buy online. Aaargh, bra hell beckons.
