First time mummy (23+1) and my little boy has not moved today that I've been able to feel!?!? Thought we were getting into a little routine but today I'm not so sure!! Getting really stressed if he's ok in there? Does anyone have days were you feel it more than others??

i am 36 + 6 now, when i was around your time babys movements were all over the place, i would think i was in a routine but then for a couple of days it would be very quiet, then i would worry, then very active next day! you could try to drink a big glass of something cold then lay down quietly see if that does anything, i went to the antenatal day unit once when i was very worried and it was all re-assuring, so if you feel worried better to go and be checked out they can put your mind at rest x

Try not to worry(easy to say). I am 30 weeks and have found that I have a few quieter days every week, my DH says that he reckons these are growing days! At 23 weeks I wasn't feeling much at all and it definitely was a bit hit and miss for a couple of weeks as baby is still small. If you continue to worry then contact your midwife. x

If you haven't felt any movements, or your movements are reduced, please call your midwife.

He has probably flipped over into a different position or something making it more difficult for you to feel, but definitely call your midwife and they will check it out :)

We've definitely had this experience all the way through with Tiny Madam - she has quiet days and loud days even at 34 weeks. However, do agree that if you're concerned you should check it out with your midwife.

23 weeks is quite early for a routine - I think at 28 weeks they ask you about it - but do call the midwife if you're worried.

I'm 38 weeks now and it still drives me crazy, I still do the "lie down and glass of juice" thing quite often as baby has a really quiet morning most days and I start to worry - even though it's clearly just his/her routine!

I'm having a nightmare carrying this time round with an anterior placenta. Nearly every day I think 'oooh he's quiet' then he'll rather start going crazy or I'll carry on worrying until I feel anything. 23 weeks is really early for any routine, I was told it was too early at 25 weeks when I rang about reduced movements. I'm now 31 weeks and worry pretty much every day!
