C-section recovery + toddler tips

I had a c-section yesterday and already have a 21mo dc. Am starting to get a leeeetle alarmed about how I'll look after her! I'll have lots of help, thank god, but am concerned about not being able to cuddle her (she tends to jump all over me) or lift her for ages. Any reassuring tales? I won't be home alone with her, but am still apprehensive.

Congrats!

I am electing with DC2, had an EMCS with DS. I recovered well first time and by day 3-4 felt pretty normal, whilst I dont think I will be up to lifting a toddler there are ways around that (as long as you have someone at home with you), we are already telling DS about being gentle which he does understand, will DD understand that? Also i am planning to come to DS level which is easier than lifting.

Depending on your circs depend what to advise really

Congratulations!

If you can get someone to pop chemist get some arnica tablets, 30mg, they are amazing for helping with the aches and bruising, I had a 16mo when I had my elcs for dd. And honestly taking them made me feel much better and less fragile.
Also when doing anything with dc1 sit down, instead of lifting them to your level sit down so your at theirs.

Honestly, thinking about it is worse than the actual reality x
