Yes. 39 weeks, walking a 7 year old to school Grin I also seem to have loose poo (soz TMI), I'm also in a foul mood all the time, and I've been swearing at the cats all day. I'm a real charmer Angry Grin Angry

booflebean · 11/09/2012 19:16

Oh god tell me about it. 39 wks tomorrow got SEVERE PGP - so bad it makes me scream out at night and I dread going to bed :( Dread getting up too but there we go!

Got a 2yr old DS to chase after but very lucky DH works from home Grin

mamto4 · 11/09/2012 19:18

Lol! Sounds familiar! I've also had the loose poo after being constipated most of the pregnancy! Pregnancy is so glamorous haha!

38 plus 2 with DC3 over here - can't wait to have the baby now! Have severe preg asthma and been on all sorts of meds. Can't breathe. Awful. Luckily, my parents are staying with me (we live in CA and they have flown over for 5 weeks to help with end preg/newborn - they are total STARS). Anyway, they are keeping me going as they do pretty much everything with the other DCs and let me cough and hack away in peace....

Question for you ladies: It was DBIL's wedding over the weekend (last weekend). DH flew over for it, but then on Thursday I started getting cramps at night - got checked out Friday morning (standard visit) and I was almost fully effaced (not dilated). DH and I talked about it, and he flew back as it seemed 'things were starting'. I've had a few more nights of cramps - including 2 hours of real contractions night before - but no baby! Obviously, he has now missed the wedding - which I'm sorry about, but we made the best decision at the time with the info we had, I think.

My question is: I've heard nothing from the ILS - no e-mail, phone call, nothing. We're not particularly close but is this not a bit weird? It's Tuesday now, so wedding over, guests all gone (I can totally understand them not having any head-space for dealing with this during the actual wedding palaver). But nothing?! Really? Am I weird for being a bit hurt?

mamto4 · 11/09/2012 21:06

Chocolate I would feel the same to be honest, having a baby is a huge thing and I would expect ILS to show a big interest being so close to due date..... Then again, maybe I'd b reading too much into it due to the hormones! They're probably just still caught up in the aftermath of the wedding, but, pregnancy sensitive or not, I wud b hurt and pissed off!! You're going to have a baby for gods sake!!!!! I'm just out of the bath, been having pains again all evening, backache, shooting pains in thighs, campy, stabbing pains in abdomen, but don't want to get too excited cos it's been happening for bout 2 weeks now! Although it seems to have ramped up a bit tonight even after bath and movement.... This is new to me cos didnt have any of this in my other pregnancies, just feel so depressed now cos I'm getting all the signs and nothings happening..... Hubby is fed up listening to me Too and to b honest, can't bloody blame him, all he listens to is me complaining and I'm ultra moody last couple of days....

mamto4 I hear you! This baby has been feeling like she's about to fall out for about a week (which I didn't get with the other two) also menstrual-type cramps (WTF?) which is also new to me.... Just want her out now!

Feel free to moan away on MN - it's lovely we're all here for each other, isn't it? Poor partners do have a limit on how patiently they can listen to moaning Grin

Rowanhart · 11/09/2012 22:32

I think you should call them. Don't think baby necessarily takes precedence over wedding. Could well be sitting there thinking can't believe she hasn't called to say congrats!

FirstTimeMumma · 11/09/2012 22:42

I here ya! Having a horrible last few weeks (currently 39 weeks with dd1) cannot wait till its over and i have my little girl in my arms! Also very excited to be able to sleep on my tummy!!!! How sad? Hope you all perk up and have lovely newborns soonGrin

ChocolateIsAFoodGroup · 12/09/2012 00:13

Rowan could be.... If I weren't feeling so shit then yes, I might e-mail them. They actually never call me (I do mean never....) or e-mail me - we have different relationship styles: They think not contacting me means being polite, I think it means not showing an interest - hey ho!

Any time I do e-mail them, they do e-mail back, however. I might just be the bigger person here and get in touch with them. Good to get if off my conscience Grin

ChocolateIsAFoodGroup · 12/09/2012 01:38

Right, just sent off very, very long e-mail wishing them lots of congratulations on the wedding, etc.

Definitely a case of doing the right thing! Feel much better about it all now, though.

Oh, and just lost mucus plug! And had my mum examine me (it's OK - she's a doctor, not, like, a plumber or anything Grin) and I'm 1cm dilated!

COME ON BABY!

FirstTimeMumma · 12/09/2012 06:55

Great news chocolate! Hope everything kicks of for you soon!!! Grin

mamto4 · 12/09/2012 07:14

I know the feeling! I literally cant move without letting out a huge groan now! Everything is such an effort. Ah the joys of the wonderful world of pregnancyGrin

Hi 38 plus 1 here with csection booked for Tuesday. This is dc3. Not feeling too terrible just really slowing down. Yet strangely like others bowels are doing the oppossite. Also huge and walking dc to school is taking alot longer!
