Right, Im getting paranoid worries that I could minutely be possibly be preggers

Have 15 week DS, 4 yr old DD and not really top on my list of priorities to reproduce again, at least not until a) my relationship is fixed b) my son is a little older

here are the facts, tell me what you think

have shagge (ahem) a total of about 5 times since the birth, the first time was about 7-8 weeks ago and used no protection, i took the MAP after 48 hours and was also breastfeeding exclusively. Since then we have used condoms except one time we took a bit of a risk.

I have had one period since the birth 15 weeks ago which was on about November 7th. I have since practically given up breastfeeding so that shouldnt be suppressing my periods anymore, especially since I had my first period whilst I was still BFing.

The only reasons I think I could be is late period, I dont have any nausea which I have had v early on both other times, I had some what I thought were PMT cramps but they were about 2 weeks ago and nothing has come!

Let me know what you think the likelihood is (sp) yes, I know I need to get a test just want to discuss first!

I can't believe you haven't come back Becca! I hope your comp isn't broken, could be waiting ages before we hear from you. Hope all is ok.

so sorry that i cant put you out of your misery either way yet - please go easy on me, i dont know why i cant bring myself to do it i just cant at the mo!

Becca

That's fair enough - ignore us, we're keen to know but of course you must test when you are ready.

I had very irregular periods for quite a while after stopping breastfeeding, so I don't think your absence of a period need necessarily be a bad sign.

Have a good Christmas - and be sure to let us know as soon as you know

BeccaBigBaubles · 24/12/2003 08:55

I I think I feel sick!

Im just beating myself up here and my mind playing tricks

I think Ill have to give in and test as I cant be doing with this until after christmas!

OH GOD

Becca,

Sometimes its better just to know for sure - even if its unwelcome news...better than stewing in your own juices

emXMAStmg · 24/12/2003 10:09

Hi Becca, only just found this one and wanted you to know I've got everything crossed for you too.

BTW for the entire time(about 15 months) I felt broody for no.3 we only used protection a handful of times, I suppose DH was lucky as he was so sure he didn't want more because we obviously didn't get PG in all that time. That sort luck maybe with you know IYKWIM.

Thinking of you.

emXMAStmg · 24/12/2003 10:43

just realised my last post sounded abit odd.........hope you get the result you want, whatever it is.

Loobie · 24/12/2003 11:06

Anything becca?

Brandysnap · 24/12/2003 11:08

I think it would be better if you test now Becca. At least you'd know one way or another. If you're not, you can get stuck into the drink over the next few days and not worry about it. Hope everything turns out ok and you have a good christmas.

Just searched to find this thread again. Very pleased for you Becca

handlemecarefully · 29/12/2003 09:25

Pleased to hear you are not pregnant this time around Becca

niknik · 29/12/2003 12:08

Just a quick query. Does anybody know how long pregnancy hormones are present in urine following miscarriage. It is 34 days since I miscarried and I did a test out of curiosity and it is positive. I cant believe that it is a current pregnancy as I have taken 10 and 8 months to get pregnant previously. I have no pg symptoms but know AF symptoms either. Any advice?

LIZS · 29/12/2003 12:55

Becca,
Glad it turned out ok for you this time. Please get it sorted out for your own peace of mind - if the gp can't help perhaps Family Planning could. It doesn't have to be done at your period either.
