Rose sounds lovely with Summer.

collision · 08/03/2006 12:07

Sorry Fimbo but not Summer Amelia!! (IMHO) I cant even really say it!!!

perfumelady · 08/03/2006 13:01

summer fay
summer may

zippitippitoes · 08/03/2006 13:05

Summer Daisy

beetroot · 08/03/2006 13:15

Summer winter? Wink

SoupDragon · 08/03/2006 13:19

Don't like Mora with Summer. To many Ma sounds.

I'd avoid names that are flowers too.

Grace works for me :)

lunavix · 08/03/2006 13:20

Dh won't have may as a middle name, plus he says its a contradiction...

I don't think it can end in an 'a' or an 'er' sound

There's something about Rose I'm not sure on...

I like Rhiannon and myfanwy but they're good names in their own right to me...

Holly (not seasonal but I like the sound!)
Helen
Rachel
and another vote for Louise

I think avoiding names beginning with vowels (the Summa-Rellie syndrome) and M (Sum-MaMa-Ree) will make for a good combo.

cece · 08/03/2006 13:24

Summer Sue?

collision · 08/03/2006 15:36

Suzanne

fimbo · 08/03/2006 15:56

But Collision surely Summer Suzanne is worse than Summer Amelia. Wink. I think Summer Amelia flows better, but I am saying it with a Scottish acent, so maybe that makes a difference Smile

collision · 08/03/2006 22:44

i wouldnt put Summer with Suzanne myself but then again I wouldnt choose the name summer! (Sorry if that offends!)

I just cant say Summer Amelia easily!

i like

Summer Rose
Summer Grace
Summer Louise

and now that I have written Summer so many times it looks strange!

magicfarawaytree · 08/03/2006 23:03

summer anastasia if your surname is short it is very effective. ie my friend had a daughter called anastasia grey - it is quite balanced.

CountessDracula · 08/03/2006 23:07

Wind

We used to have a boat called Summer Wind

tis a Frank Sinatra song

CountessDracula · 08/03/2006 23:08

Summer Rea Grin

milge · 08/03/2006 23:09

Holiday?
Surely a name as distinctive as Summer doesn't need a second name?

Gemmitygem · 09/03/2006 08:15

Agree a multisyllable name is nicer, and probably not starting with a vowel..

Summer Lily
Summer Gwendolen
Summer Leonie
Summer Alexandra

or maybe two middles, a short and then long, like:
Summer Ruth Helena
Summer Jane Felicity

acnebride · 09/03/2006 09:31

Hope

Kelly1978 · 09/03/2006 09:43

summer lousie and summer Anne I think are the best suggestions. summer amelia is too much of a mouthful, although I do like the name amelia. maybe u should look for a middle name to go with amelia. Wink
Also agree with milge - do you really need a second name? Two of mine don't have second names, their names are distinctive enough.

CountessDracula · 09/03/2006 09:53

Summer in Siam

tangerinecath · 09/03/2006 11:08

Love Summer Elizabeth
Summer Louise is nice too

collision · 09/03/2006 16:09

I have a plan!

What about Summer as the second name and putting something before it!!

EG

Amelia Summer!!
Imogen Summer
Hope Summer
Catherine Summer

Summer is lovely as a second name!

meggmoo · 09/03/2006 16:13

Elise/Elys sounds nice with it I think or Corrine, Kathryn.

Summer Elise
Summer Corrine
Summer Kathryn

Don't go for Ann/e too close to Anne Summers IMO.
