Do you really have to take them EVERYWHERE with you? Even if you are just nipping round to the corner shop for a pint of milk. They are a4 sized so don't just fit into a normal sized handbag either.

I get the importance of them it's just such a bloody pain sometimes.

I'm 27 weeks, but will be working a lot at the Olympic Park on the other side of town from my hospital. Was told to carry maternity notes in case I need to go to a closer hospital in an emergency.

Given how bulky they are, I've decided to just scan key letters (like reason for planned c-section) and pages to my iPad and carry them digitally as a pdf.

Scanned pdf as opposed to photocopy should work for most people with a smart phone capable of forwarding an email in need be (to partner or maternity ward to read /print)

We are given ours in a black a4 binder and it won't fold. I swing between keeping it in the car forgetting to bring it out of the car for appointments and keeping it in the front room in the bookshelf.

I didn't realise I should be taking it out with me Blush

DP knows where it is and if I have to go anywhere if something happens to me then that needs to come too.
