I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant and a few days ago my tongue started to get sore, as though I'd burnt it on a hot drink (but I know I didn't!). Ever since then it's been really painful, especially when I eat, and also during the night when the saliva's not circulating as it does normally when you're talking, drinking etc. The pain wakes me up! I've done a bit of googling and it seems it's not totally uncommon in pregnancy, but I just wondered if any of you lovely MNetters out there have/had it. Does it last for long? Is there anything I can do for it? Is there any point going to my GP? The thought of it lasting for another 8 months is a bit overwhelming...
