Daddy bag

I've made up a 'daddy bag' for DH as a present for when the baby comes.

I was just wondering if anyone else had done this, and when they gave it to them. Was it before the birth? Or just after? Or when you got home?

xx

Wanted to bump this thread up- its a great idea and wondered if there were any new ideas?

I'm making one for OH. I'm getting a tool belt with things to go in the pockets. A nappy, a clothes peg, baby wipes, spare baby vest, a bottle of powder.
I might sew a batman patch on the front too.

This is such a lovely idea... you've inspired me now :) my other half has been brilliant throughout my pregnancy, I'm so going to do this for him xx

I bought him a northface bag to use as a nappy bag as he didn't like the floral one Grin

I'm 40 + 11 (induction later today - arggh) and I've not gone quite this far (think it's a lovely idea though) but I have bought DH a Chocolate Chimp from thorntons with Congrats Daddy! iced on (was gonna get a chocolate champagne bottle but this is more appropriate for us Grin) and a thank you card which I've already written in thanking him for his support through TTC and pregnancy and left a space so if I have the time/energy/inclination I can add a bit about labour. To answer your question though, I have a second hospital bag with things for coming home which will stay in the car till after I've given birth and I've hidden it in there. He doesn't know of course and I will give it to him when he brings the bag in... If this wasn't possible (pressy too big or something) I would hide it at home and give it to him on bringing the baby home - or possibly if I was staying in and he was coming home alone call him up and direct him to it...

Good luck and enjoy!

My parents are meeting DH and I at the hospital when I go into labour with a food bag for him :) This includes fresh sandwiches, cakes etc (stuff I cannot pack now at 36 weeks as they'd be mouldy :P)
