so glad to see it's not just me! I even admitted to my doctor I was eating rubbish and she said not to worry just yet as I will hopefully eat loads when I feel better! Nothing at all appeals, so my staples are cereal, crisps, toast...and whatever fluid I can keep down. After bringing up my beloved green tea the other week everything makes me dubious! Hang on in there ladies :)

DS: Mushed apples and tangerines.

This pregnancy: Fridge cold Fanta and the odd piece of toast.

Purplecatti · 18/03/2012 19:15

moodybecky I am a green tea freak (was on 15 cups a day) but that seems to be one of the things that makes me vom without exception after 5 minutes of having a cup. I think because green tea has higher tannin levels than normal tea it's that much more nausea inducing.

Things that are helping:

-egg mayo rolls
-yoghurt mixed with granola
-flat Lucozade
-cheesecake
-chinese food

Things that are NOT helping:

-having to change ds's dirty nappies gag
-swallowing those ginormous folic acid pregnancy tablets (WHY can't they make them smaller? I have to psyche myself up to get them down every night)

I am going to try boiled sweets next, more specifically, cola cubes. Maybe they'll help with the constant nausea. Wouldn't it be nice to feel half-human again!!

Bear1984 · 19/03/2012 11:00

I'm also on the carbs lol. I'm suppose to be cutting back as I'm overweight and want to not put too much weight on, so GP suggested less carbs, but at the moment, I don't care anymore lol.

I have been having salt and vinegar crisps, ginger nut biscuits, milkshakes, ice lollies and croissants. I've been able to have the odd meal, but it's very rare. I have mints, so can't stand having peppermint, mints or chewing gum. Trying to get more fruit in me, but not having much success.

I found out I was pregnant a few days ago. Total shock! (Wasn't planned at all and only took a pregnancy test because I had a cheap one laying around from ages ago!)

The thing that is concerning me is telling my boss. I had my two children 22 months apart so have already taken 2 lots of maternity. I have only been back to a work a year.

I know it's sounds crazy but I feel a bit embarrassed tbh.

I want to avoid telling work until I am between 14-16 weeks.

Anyone been in a similar situation and managed to work until that time?

I am also already suffering from sickness and nausea (last pregnancies it didn't start until 6 weeks! ConfusedEnvy)

FeistySheep · 03/03/2021 20:20

Crisps
Toast and honey
Cold sharp fruit - grapes, berries, oranges
Cold smoothie and OJ
Haribo
Lime jelly
Anything tomato-y
Sugar snap peas in bucketloads
Cereal

Weirdly some things that were great last pregnancy, like ice pops, are awful this time!

FeistySheep · 03/03/2021 20:23

Oh this is a zombie thread!!! hahaha

Summersun12 · 03/03/2021 20:34

Plain pasta, pancakes, break. Anything beige.
Water.

Ive had to unfollow all the food/cafe related accounts on instagram its making me feel so sick seeing any food pics.

Summersun12 · 03/03/2021 20:35

@feistysheep its good to know nothinga been done in nearly 10years to help with morning sickness 😂😂

FeistySheep · 03/03/2021 20:38

@Summersun12 of course not - why would they put resources into something that only affects women? Grin

@mrscobson - I can't help much with your problem I'm afraid, but if you start a new thread you'll get a better response x

mrscbson · 04/03/2021 10:12

I meant to start a new post 🤣 couldn't work out how to delete it

MsHedgehog · 04/03/2021 11:30

Oh morning (well, all day) sickness was horrible! The only things I could keep down were ice lollies, salt and vinegar crisps and plain white bread sandwiches with only butter and those processed chicken slices!

Basically, a beige diet!

Kelly3255 · 04/03/2021 12:10

At the start, I couldn't eat until 12pm.
Everything I had before then I brought back up lol
Then for lunches and dinner it was cereal, toast, baked potato, crisps, fruit x
