A place to come and kvetch/worry/chill for anyone at risk of developing pre-eclampsia in their pregnancy. We have buckets for those still feeling sick, cushions for those who are just plain knackered, and crisps and ginger beer for everyone else. Come and say hi!

good luck ciwi - a date to aim for helps lots!!! My consultant booked my section dates after 24/26 weeks after had steriods (again mostly to reassure me!) - she said having a date to aim for would help keep me sane! she is right it did... for a while and then the stress gets to you - I know exactly how you are feeling I spent an entire weekend trying to explain it to my husband at about 34 weeks that I wasn't good enough and baby would be better in special care as at least they could keep them safe etc etc - my only suggestion is distraction!! keep busy, see friends etc and try not to dwell on it!! You have done fab so far and once baby is in your arms it will be worth it!!! Not that i ever let myself believe that would happen until my daugher actually arrived and was ok.... even my consultant said she had never seen someone in so much denial throughout a pregnancy! lol

ciwi · 12/02/2012 19:58

I know what you mean, i have broken down to dh several times saying I just cant take anymore. Even got the poor midwives hassled in the hospital but they have been lovely and offered to see me whenever I need reassurance. If it was up to me I would be hooked up to a ctg for the next 2 weeks though! I have been keeping busy and that has helped, roll on Tuesday and then I can just start counting down the days to induction. thanks again x

JoantheFennel · 15/02/2012 17:18

She announced in October so I'm guessing April

fairimum · 15/02/2012 22:32

congratulations to the new babies and mummies :)

How are you going Ciwi??

AlpinePony · 16/02/2012 04:40

Congratulations dishes! :)

Poor SEB. :( I hope she has a better pregnancy this time. I hadn't heard either, must renew that heat subscription! ;)

Who's next in line for a baby then?

thejaffacakesareonme · 16/02/2012 09:23

Congratulations Alpine and Dishes. Lovely news.

I'm still ticking along. 36 weeks now and no sign of PE again, despite me being convinced that I'd get it again.

ciwi · 16/02/2012 10:03

Hi farimum I am ok, bp better and protein no worse so they think the bp blip was anxiety related. Got my date now, 29th feb so less than 2 weeks to go, cant wait. Hoot a few day ward appointments before then though s I am happy they are keeping a close eye.
Jaffa I am 36 weeks tomorrow, do you have a date or are you planning on going into labour naturally? (sorry if you have already said)

stinkingbishop · 16/02/2012 10:08

OK ladies, reassure me. 33+3 with twins. Growth is absolutely fine (they're already both heavier than the two in OBEM last night!) BP was slightly high at my last scan on the 7th and there were very faint traces of protein. They said not to worry, but to keep an eye out.

No headaches/vision problems. Have been sick a couple of nights. Feet are both achey when I stand on them (just feels like they're not folding very well if you know what I mean) and the right one is slightly swollen...but only slightly.

Wait and see, do you think? Am only 15 mins from the hospital.

thejaffacakesareonme · 16/02/2012 10:23

C section booked for 5th March. It all seems very close now.

Bishop - if you have any concerns at all I'd phone your MW for a chat.

missingmymarbles · 18/02/2012 10:38

hi ladies - first time checking in since 14th.

congratulations dirty Grin

hope everyone else doing ok.
had a sock line digging into my ankle on monday Confused doesn't usually happen to me even when doing 12 1/2 hr shifts (unless my socks are too small Grin but these ones defo weren't)
midwife on tuesday (19 weeks); consultant next tuesday (20 weeks). at consult one will get better idea of plan

Sneezeblossom · 18/02/2012 13:30

Stinking bishop, you should get checked out, vomiting is a symptom. Have blood testament if you can

Sneezeblossom · 18/02/2012 13:31

Tests I mean. Fucking autocorrect

Fishandjam · 18/02/2012 20:46

Congratulations alpine and dishes!

Bish, defo get checked. Better to be told everything is fine, than to wait and find it wasn't, especially in a multiple pregnancy.

morning all Smile
very quiet on here the last few days. hope the new mums and babies are doing well and all the bumps are growing nicely too.

can i just ask, at what point your bp's started to rise, and how high they were at the start of your pregnancies?

last time my bp was high from the beginning but didn't change much til it was critical. this time, my bp was my norm (117/68) but each time i get it checked, it is slightly higher than the time before (5/5 higher than the previous).

Sneezeblossom · 22/02/2012 11:39

My bp rose all of a sudden at 41 weeks. It was 240/140 at admission. I had very low bp at booking to the extent I had to have a week off work at
20 weeks because I couldn't stand still without fainting.with hindsight my liver was playing up all the way through my pregnancy.
