Pregnant after miscarriage clear blue test 2-3 weeks even before period is due

Hi, can anyone out there give me some advice?? I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in feburary 2011, I had a chemical pregnancy the month after and this month 5 days before my period is due I did a test and got an immediate positive seconds after doing it! I did another 2 after to make sure and they were both the same and very bright lines!! I then bought a clear blue digital, which came up preganant and 2-3 weeks? (since conception)! That was on monday and my period is not due till friday? Has anyone else had this before? could it mean twins? or a problem? :s

I was just wondering can anyone help me here....I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, my doctor told me to take a pregnancy test two weeks after the miscarriage, so I took a clear blue test, and it turns out I was still pregnant! However, it said I was 2-3 weeks pregnant? but that can't be right? I haven't had sex since I conceived the first time, so I contacted to doctors and they said it was twins....but how can it be only 2-3 weeks? Are these tests accurate?

I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
I'm sorry to say this, but unless your doctor has scanned and seen twins I don't think that's very likely from what you're saying. The clear blue test just picks up the level of pregnancy hormone in your urine and then equates it to 1-2 wks, 2-3 wks or 3+ wks pregnant. All it means when it says 2-3 wks pregnant is that you have a level of pregnancy hormone left in your system. If you haven't had sex this must be from the miscarriage which can happen. It could mean you have not completely lost all the pregnancy tissue. I think you should speak again to your doctor or whoever told you to take the test and tell them you are still testing positive 2 wks after a miscarriage. They may advise a scan to see if there is tissue left.
