oh we are a little club QV...
when I was in the recovery ward and the mw made me go to the loo before she would let me go upstairs.
she came out of the loo and announced to the whole ward
"Mrs harpsichordcarrier has done a whole LITRE of urine!"
oh it was a proud moment for me

PMSL HC!

Not quite "Its a girl/boy" is it

I find it quite scary how much fluid i retained during both pg's. THe best excercise i got after DS was born was walking back and forth to the toilet all day and all night long.
Oh the fond memories of Hertford Ward

auntymandy · 11/11/2005 16:32

They did that to me AM for about 2and half might even have been 3 weeks.

Alot of the time it depended on how busy they were (no beds meant i was sent home high bp or not). It also depended on the doctor i saw some thought my bp was ok and some didnt. (because my booking bp was 100/60 and it went up to 120/80 which is relatively average to most people but not me).

Then when they said they would look at inducing me the consultant checked to see if i had a favourable cervix but i didnt. (although im pretty sure that the really uncomfortable check helped kick start labour as i went into labour 3 days later).

GREATauntymandy · 14/11/2005 06:34

she has had her!!!
Arrived at hospital at 4.30pm had her at 4.45ish
