Morning sickness going away then coming back again?

Am 16+2. Was sick several times a day from 5+5 weeks to 13weeks, then just once a day until 15+5...

So haven't been sick for 5 days and then this morning I was sick! (before eating breakfast). No idea why, haven't eaten anything dodgy, didn't even feel sick until I was.

So, I suppose my question is, has anyone else had that? MS going away and then coming back? Did it come back as a one off or did you start being sick daily again?

I really can't face the idea of being sick every day again. Sad

i Had HG....

was very very sick for weeks 6 - 13.... am now 19 weeks

I have had 3 days in a row sick free 3 times, and 4 sick free days in a row once. (about 2 weeks ago) A few odd days here and there not being sick.... but im back to being sick every day / every other day again this week.

Im still on anti-sick medication, but i dont ever feel like its gone

hope yours goes soon

i was sick between about 10-14 weeks. was fine for ages, now at 25 i'm queezy again!

FluffyDonkey · 20/04/2011 09:23

nannyl that sounds awful Sad

So I guess I can't count my chickens yet - I might still be sick.

Only "good" thing for me is if it's in the morning so just bile. Much more pleasant than throwing up my dinner.

Grrrrr. Just when I was starting to feel better!

yes fluffy... it has been "interesting" but i am counting myself lucky... some people are a lot worse.

Persoanlly I prefer to vomit a meal than the bile-y nothing ness. Vomiting the sick tablets are the worst! cant describe how revolting they taste!

apparently its normal to get worse at the end from 34 ish weeks too! Sad

FluffyDonkey · 20/04/2011 09:56

I haven't any anti-sickness tablets but I did once throw up paracetamol (sp!) which was disgusting - chalky!

My mum was very very sick with me, so we have had many conversations such as "sinks I have been sick in" and "worst food to throw up"...

A kind of mother-daughter bonding exercise Grin

my other wosrt things: TMI ahead.. Wink

spaghetti (eww when some of it is vomited but is still half in stomach, not eaten since)

milk... it sort of turned to cheese in my stomach... vomited blocks of this white jelly like consistency white stuff... is MASSIVE blocks..

ewww... sorry if TMI!

daimbardiva · 20/04/2011 10:46

LOL at this conversation - glad not eating at the moment! I'm at 17 weeks and have been sick sporadically since early on...keep thinking I'm over it, then have day of feeling rank and throwing up. I wasn't like this with my last pregnancy at all - then I passed 12 weeks and wasn't sick at all.

jezebelle · 20/04/2011 10:53

I'm sick on and off at 31 weeks, my dr said it happens and i can't expect it to stop until birth :)

LDNlady · 20/04/2011 10:57

I was sick for about two weeks from about 5 and a half weeks pg then nowt until I hit 30 weeks where I was again sick every morning for about two weeks. Am now 33 weeks and expecting it all to happen again in the run up to bubs arriving! :(

thefurryone · 20/04/2011 11:03

Hi, this happened to me as well I was sick or constantly nausceous (sp?) until about 15 weeks at which point it became a bit more sporadic and I had good days and bad days until about 25ish weeks at which point I was only throwing up when I cleaned my teeth. After that I was fine though. The worst bit was that I actually felt worse on the bad days having had good days, than I did when I'd just being having bad days IYSWIM.

Fingers crossed for you that this doesn't mean you're going to be sick for the rest of your pg Smile

FluffyDonkey · 20/04/2011 13:22

Ah yes. Cleaning teeth. Guaranteed to make me puke in the evening (but not in the morning funnily enough).

What did you do then to clean your teeth? In the evening I just use mouth wash and brush my teeth with a toothbrush without toothpaste. Also floss sometimes.

On the TMI front, worst food to throw up was ice cream (had curdled in my stomach I think) and toast. The toast totally wrecked my throat.

I had this with DD, off and on until 8 mths!

Not much fun, but really you just get used to it after a while.

I ended up avoiding anything too strongly flavoured because ot just tastes so awful when you're sick after.

Nothing yet this time [touches all the wood I can find]

I am so fed up! I am 11 weeks pregnant and I'm really not enjoying this pregnancy at all. My pregnancy was unplanned which doesn't help. I feel sick every single day and vomit, I don't enjoy most foods and find I am eating the same bland stuff daily. When I hit week 11 my morning sickness seemed to completely subside and now a few days later it is back with a vengeance!! It's so hard to hold down my job as I don't feel like myself and always feel rubbish. Not sure what else I can do

imisscashmere · 29/01/2022 12:45

It doesn’t sound like this applies to you but just in case… when this happened to me (my morning sickness returned with a vengeance about a week after I had stopped vomiting) it turned out to be a bad sickness bug and not morning sickness at all!

Blondexx · 29/01/2022 15:12

Thanks @imisscashmere I did wonder this. I guess I will have to wait and see if it passes. I am also going to call my GP on Monday and ask for something to stop my morning sickness. Have a good weekend Smile
