Can I ask when you ladies got their first stretchmarks?

I'm 30+ weeks and so far don't have any, but I'm guessing they'll arrive any time now!

Grape seed infused with neroli & mandarin essential oils......where is this from? Sounds beautiful.

I have stretch marks from my first DS but I did put on 4 stone!!!

Lost all the weight and was left with a tiny bit of extra skin, so if there is more after this one i'm going for a tummy tuck!

P.N that I NEVER used any creams so ive only got myself to blame, make sure you cover yourself morning and night :)

38w when she dropped I got some on my tummy. I only gained 13kg and had lost 12kg within 5 days of giving birth.

Shes 10w on tuesday and just when I smugly thought I had done ok I'm covered in them.

Been using oil on my bump twice a day for a few weeks but at 28+3 my stretch marks are really noticable already. I didn't expect them to be sore and itchy but they are Sad. My husband is calling them my 'baby lines' and trying to make me feel better but YUK! I'm sticking with the oil in the hope it will make them less noticable and fingers crossed they fade once the baby is here. Got another 12 weeks to go!

It's genetic. You can't prevent it. The skin tears at a layer no cream or potion will reach. Might help the itch though.

You get them or you don't.

I got them from 37 weeks onwards and everywhere. Boobs, tummy, bum, knees, thighs etc. They do fade eventually.

I didn't notice mine until 41+ weeks with my first - they were hiding on my butt...

babybump I make it myself. You can buy a litre of Grapeseed oil online for £6.99 (just google it - loads of places sell it), and I mix 150mls or so at a time with neroli/mandarin essential oils (as recommended by aromatherapist friend as good for skin).

Plain grapeseed oil is also really lovely to massage the baby with with it arrives - light, no fragrance, easily absorbed. If there is any left as DP loves to rub it all over him too.

aw sounds good, I am definitely making that :) thank you x

I didn't get any with either of my two pregnancies. Used Palmers & bio oil but am a big fan of moisuriser anyway and only put on around a stone each time. I do have some left from my teens too so aren't imune to getting them.

sorry for hijacking slightly but does anyone else get cellulite on upper arms? I am rather gutted about this as at least on top of thighs you only need to worry about swimwear but ARMS!!!! excellent really looking forward to summer... Hmm

LionRock · 11/03/2011 21:30

Arms? FFS!
