Pregnancy Cravings

I am pregnant with number 3 and had a massive craving for eggy bread this morning. I have not had eggy bread for years, but after 3 slices I now feel as though everything is right with the world and the craving has passed. Phew!

Never had this with DD1 and DD2, although a bag of Haribo could be destroyed in an afternoon when I was pregnant with them.....

Wondered what other mums to be were craving?

Chicken and mango chutney sandwiches - and yes, a lot of meat. Guess I need protein!

Totally gone off sweet stuff and almost heaved when I walked past cream buns in the Co-op the other day. OH said I must have enough cholesterol in my system already.

It was grapefruit, then quite randomly I had to have pork pie (just the one day) now it has to be galaxy chocolate.

Danio, lol at giving birth to a jacket potato. Hmm jacket potato... [goes to email OH about stopping by shops on way home]

I am going off stuff more than going on to it but indulging my need for toast and cereal as often as I feel like. I can't face cooking - I just want to think of food and eat it. Eating out is much better and my DH generally cooks anyway. But mostly I would prefer a bowl of cereal. My thing seems to be sweet things, not too sickly and quite hydrating. Juice and soft drinks are other must haves. Squash!

Here's this week's weirdness: As I have been rubbing Bio Oil on twice a day to hopefully reduce the chance of stretch marks the smell now make me feel ill by association with my queasiness!

roast potatoes, gravy, yorkshire pudding and veg.

Oh how I wish for cravings! I'm feeling really really yucky at the moment (only almost 6 weeks) and though I'm hungry there's nothing I really want to eat. On tuesday I ate quite a lot of toast so on wednesday I bought a nice selection of spreads and by wednesday night the thought of toast made me feel ill!

At the moment it seems that whatever food I have the urge to eat, I go off as soon as I have eaten it. And I have a real urge for a very rare steak, arrrrrggggggghhhhh!

When pregnant with Ds, rare steak, broccoli (probable because I was anaemic!), milk, coffee (neither of which I even liked before I was pregnant Hmm and cake. But I've always loved cake Grin

Currently 5 weeks and can't get enough tea! (I drank 2 big mugs with my lunch and am currently resisting the urge to make more, even though it'll go nicely with the Malted Milks Wink ) But shhh..don't tell anyone 'cause no-one except DH knows I'm pg yet! (Found out on Tues Grin )
