20 week scan - echogenic bowel

Hi

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience of an echogenic bowel discovered at the 20 wk scan.

I had my scan yesterday and this was detected. In addition, the measurements for the head and abdomen were on the small side.

This has totally knocked me for six. We are currently waiting for an appt to see a consultant.

I'm trying not to google too much but it's hard not to.

I'd appreciate any comments from anyone who's been in a similar situation.

Could you tell me the result of your pregnancy. When you read these threads as I am looking for the same information often it is helpful to know good or bad what the outcome is. I have a friend with a similar reading from the scan and need to know what advise to give. Many thanks.

Just wanted to offer people some hope when it comes to having 20 week scan and them picking up echogenic bowel. This happened to me and I worried myself to death for the remainder of the pregnancy and have given birth to beautiful healthy baby boy no health issues at all wishing all worried families the same outcome as us (feeling so blessed) xx
