Gaviscon on prescription?

My bf wanted to know if she could get it from her gp? I know a did but that was a while back...

Yes sweetheart I've got half a big bottle sitting on my desk as well, let me know if you want it! I seriously should have taken out shares in Gaviscon; after swilling the stuff daily during my pregnancy ds is now on Infant Gaviscon as well. I didn't get a prescription until late on, but it's my experience GPs will willingly fork over a prescription for an antacid based your symptoms. Fortunately at mine it was the real deal, Gaviscon Advance, none of this generic substitute crap. Best of luck!

I went onto the fast acting suck tablets as the bottle stuff became useless (Check with pharmacist). I also was prescribed it - peppermint tho', not yucky aniseed! Bleugh!!
