Well my bags are packed and I'm ready to go (sorry Smile).

I have all the basics recommended but just wondered if anyone else had any suggestions for anything you won't find on the standard lists? Anything you wished you had or will take this time?

Thank you!

Thank you everyone. I am busy making a big long list now, god knows what they will make of that bit of shopping in Tesco's!

Ooh, ooh - one of those tiny bottle of champagne for afterwards!

A list of phone numbers for local help with breastfeeding - your local LLL or NCT breastfeeding counsellor, maybe the local helpful MW - you can try phoning for advice. Many hospitals don't have a breastfeeding clinic or trained specialist BFCs, and the MWs have too heavy a caseload to help properly.

Along those lines, you could take the number of your local NCT valley cushion rental agent - they are special cushions to sit on if you have painful stitches or tears, and worth their weight in gold!

Pillows. I had three and used them all! Grin

Handcream and lip balm, lots of them as they will get lost. Hospitals are the driest, hottest places on earth.
