Hi
Is it still normal practice to have a 12 week scan now or does it really just depend on where you live? I had one with dd but have been told that 12 weeks scans are no longer offered unless there is a specific problem which requires a scan.

TIA XX

Was in Essex for 1 1/2 pregnancies and had 12 week sans with both girls although had I had all my 2nd pregnancy in Aus would not have had a 12 week scan unless I opted for a nuchal fold scan - routinely they only do the 20 week scan. They may have possibly offered me one earlier given that my first child was born with down syndrome.
